1) All my kids were monsters this morning...at least one was pouting or screaming all morning long!
2) Afternoon was a huge improvement (thank you naps) and we had so much fun apple picking!
3) Then we went out to dinner and the service was awful but thankfully my kids were well behaved. Just before we left the restaurant an older woman in the booth next to ours came over to tell me what a joy it was listening to us and what a wonderful, wholesome family we have. Boy did we have her fooled ?!
4) Tonight we had a fire outside and DS1 was asking about who had "the biggest penis in the world" and talking about "googling" it. When did he get so old and boyish??? Also, I hope he NEVER googles "world's biggest penis!"
I'm still kind of shaken from something that happened with C when we got home from the grocery store an hour and a half ago. Somehow I managed to slam four of his fingers in the car door, and they were stuck because the door was locked. I panicked and couldn't find my keys, which were in my hand, so they were stuck for a good 10 seconds. He was screaming, H ran out of the house to see WTF was going on, and I'm feeling awful about hurting my baaaaaaaby. It was 100% my fault too, and not because he was screwing around with the door or something. He's totally fine, but apparently I'm dwelling on it.
I squashed DD's fingers in the door when she was 2 or 3. She really screamed, which was unusual because even then she was pretty tough. We took her to the ER for x-rays, and thankfully, nothing was broken, but I felt terrible.
Ds peed in the potty 4 times and had 4 accidents. Not too bad for the first day.
DH was so cranky all day and he was stressing me out. I snapped at him a few times but he redeemed himself by making dinner, and buying me both pudding and root beer float ingredients. I guess he can stay.
We are supposed to meet friends at the park tomorrow morning and I'm not sure how to handle the potty training, there's no bathrooms there and we usually walk. I guess I could just do a pull up for that hour? We really need to get out of the house after today.

Today my first postpartum period decided to show up. Nooooooooo! I loved not having it for the past 1.5 years. However, now I know why my milk supply seemed low this week.

In good news, H is halfway done painting C's big boy room and we should be able to move him in a few days. I found bedding for him today too, so now it's all about the decorative stuff.
Ugh, hugs. I'm terrible in an emergency and would have been running around like a headless chicken.

We had a fantastic family day. We went on a hike and DS1 hiked nearly the whole thing. We only did about 2 miles and he walked about 1.75 miles and the terrain was varied. Followed by lunch out with naps for both boys and mommy and a nice family dinner. A wonderful Saturday!

We went apple picking today and had a lot of fun! ds had the best time riding the tractor out to the fields. We all took naps when we got home which wa my awesome. Had a nice night at home. I'm drinking a few beers and watching Sleepaway Camp.
We met my parents and my brother and sister for cheap burgers at a local place that is serving $2.99 burgers and fries while our baseball team is in the playoffs. And my dad bought, score! My step mom is our realtor and had some promising news about our old house that is for sale which was awesome. They headed out and we took DD to Workd Market to look at furniture and rugs. We walked out with wine gummies for me and a build your own 6 pack for DH. DD is in bed now and DH is queuing up Property Brothers on Netflix for us.
I think at this point my mother has written off all of my in laws for mostly petty reasons. As soon as MIL and SFIL got her to babysit V she treated to the kitchen and then went upstairs without saying good night to anybody. Ugh.
Headed to a wedding, I'll be shocked if we stay out past 10 lol.
We had a great day with the girls at an amusement park. Early to bed for both girls and sushi for us. We were going to watch a movie but we're tired too so just decided to watch the coverage on the pope here in town. As much as I thought it would be a fiasco, I'm pretty impressed with how it seems to be going.
We had a great bday party for dd2. It is so nice in our new house bc it's large and parties are so much easier.
Only 1 person brought a gift to our no gift parTy. It's this vtech duck that sings and stuff but it's a bath toy. Dd1 was playing with it in the tub and it went crazy and started repeating itself. Something must be wrong with it bc it will.Not.shut.up. the off Is brokeN. I put it in thr garage and closed the door. It would take me 5 screws to get the batteries off and this seems easier. See ppl, this is why you shouldn't bring gifts to no gift parties!
DH and I had a great time trying a new spin studio, then got coffee and showered and went to a decadent brunch. Tipsy from mimosas, we hit Nordstrom Rack hard, and then wandered around town a bit before meeting chickens987 and M. I had a blast, and M is the 2nd cutest kid ever. So sweet and cuddly.
If you guys end up with #2, I will take all the credit!!!!
I'm super proud of DH and me. We've worked really hard this 3-day weekend on the kid's rooms. We got DD moved into her own room yesterday. So took apart all her furniture in our room, moved it, re-assembled it. Today I cleaned out DS's closet (it was a black hole of outgrown clothes) while DH dismantled his changing table and assembled the B. Toys teepee we bought awhile back. I can't believe DS is totally PTed! He is in LOVE with his new tent, all night long he kept saying "thank you daddy for my new tent! It's AWESOME." I feel like we're making real progress on the house. Feels good for DH and I to work TOGETHER.

I bought two pairs of Frye boots today.
We went to an event for DD1 and it was for a local community wide program. Two of my clients were there, met some more K moms from her school, and there were three other people from my high school class there with their kids. Such a small world! We had so much fun there and DD2 can't wait to join when she's in K.

Just got home from tailgating at my undergrads homecoming. DD was a hit and baby girl did really well though she did melt down on the way home trying to poop.
I am obsessing over her green poop. It's been bright green for a few days, up until then it was normal yellow. She's four weeks. I'm worried about too much foremilk but also about dairy intolerance. DD was mspi but we figured it was because she was a preemie because there's no family history. Ugh.
My computer is so distracting while working on homework, but it's online class, so I have to use it. I need to put myself on a lockdown browser! Work on paper, fb, paper, gbcn, discussion board, Kohl's online shopping that I'll never actually buy, paper, fb, paper, discussion board, old navy window shopping...you get the idea!
Koala congratulations! It's a bit of a rough transition, but be kind to yourselves and trust that you'll figure it out. There are several twin moms on the board if you ever have questions!
I just finished making my sister 2 dozen baked taquitos (in the freezer), cilantro lime ranch dipping sauce, and 2 dozen chocolate-oatmeal-walnut lactation cookies. She is nursing twins, and has had no nipple pain or engorgement. After what they went through to have the twins, I'm so glad things are going so smoothly for her. I'm rather jealous of her lack of engorgement pain.
We bought a minivan today. I have mixed feelings. It was a bit of an impulse purchase. Eeeek.
Welcome to the dark side! I LOVE my sienna. What did you get?
I got a 2015 Sienna SE. I'm annoyed at DH because I let him convince me I didn't need a smart key even though I prefer it. I got black interior and exterior which is probably going to look filthy most the time but it looks faaanncy right now while it's clean! Lol

DS is spending the night with a friend, my H is on a fishing trip and I am watching Bridesmaids. My MIL is taking my kids for 3 nights starting Thursday and I am excited.
