We have concrete with brick in lay trim put in by prior owners. I would love to do stamped concrete when we upgrade our back yard. I'm ok with what we have since it is practical but would like something more attractive. Also, we want to redo the bottom of our pool with dark stone/rock.
We will do rock. I have heard stamped concrete can become slippery.
We have stamped concrete & it can get slippery. I just remind DD not to run around the pool & we're fine. It's not so slippery walking on it is dangerous. We have an aggregate driveway & covered patio & it's not comfortable on bare feet. I have a friend that did pavers & it looks great but really added to the cost.
We don't have a backyard pool, it's an HOA pool but it has stamped concrete and as long as you don't run it's fine. My kids have both run and haven't slipped
I prefer the look of stamped concrete. Aggregate is not comfortable on bare feet, I agree!
thanks y'all!
@itsbritt - we are planning on pebble tec!
We have pebble tech. Here is a link to the picture of our pool & deck from the pool builder's website. Stamped Concrete & Pebble Tech You can see the stamped concrete & pebble tech. If you do go the pebble tech route & go with a dark color like ours I HIGHLY recommend putting accent tiles on the steps. They are so dark it makes them easy to miss & DD easily bumps her shins or knees on them often. Well... ok so do I and it hurts!

Your pool is beautiful!!! Thank you for showing me (and for the accent tiles tip, that is something I wouldn't have thought of!)

Thank you & you are welcome! I also gave the same advice to a friend that had a pool put in & she said it was one of the best things she did!
