Tell me about all the dating apps plz

Ok first hi, i usually post over on h&f. Im newly separated.

I dont want a boyfriend right now, just want to meet guys and date and have fun, without having to meet guys in bars. I met my husband 13 years ago, so ive never online dated. They all seem to require fb logins (and im vehemently anti fb). I guess i could create a fake profile.

Anyway, which sites would you recommend and why? I was thinking of tinder and bumble. I already got "accepted" to sparkology (though havent set up a profile) and debated theleague (might as well use my degrees to my advantage!). Anything else?

Update: so bumble is not yet for android. I couldnt figure out tinder (my fake fb profile had no pictures, im guessing that was it). So i signed up for POF. Holy shit its like walking into a prison lol but fun. Some guys seem normal. So well see. Thx for your help.

I think it really depends on the area you live in. I've heard some say that POF seems more like a hookup site in their area while in mine, it doesn't. Tinder and OKC are more hook up sites in my area. I know Tinder is tied in to FB as it will tell you what shared interests and friends you have with the guys you swipe through.

Regardless, all 3 of those are free (you can pay to upgrade) but since you're not looking for anything serious I wouldn't put the money into it.

Be prepared to weed through the messages no matter which sites you sign up for. They all have some sort of sleaze.

You can sign up for Okcupid and POF on a regular computer. Once you have an account you can get the app and use your login to access the app. There is no need for an FB account.

I've only used Tinder out of the ones you've mentioned but I liked it a lot. I've found in my area anything other than that and OK Cupid don't have much use by men. I think it really depends on the area.

I think it really depends on area and preferences. I downloaded Tinder because it was so quick and easy (through facebook), but the men in my age range (30-40) were very unattractive or only clearly looking for sex. My good friend has great success with Tinder and POF. Great success = lots of dates.

I'm not on it (yet) but I've heard Bumble is similar to Tinder except the girl has to reach out first and within 24 hours.
