I just read The Bloggess' (Jenny Lawson) book Let's Pretend This Never Happened. Super funny. I also recommend all books by Mary Roach (Stiff, Bonk, Spook and Packing for Mars). Informative and funny!

Let's Pretend This Never Happened - Jenny Lawson (owner/star of The Bloggess)
I remember sitting up in the middle of the night reading A Prayer for Owen Meany and my dad coming to see what was wrong with me, I was laughing so much. It's just one section, but it's pretty hysterical.
Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts. Broad, wholesome, charitable views of men and things cannot be acquired by vegetating in one little corner of the earth all one's lifetime. Mark Twain
The part where he tries to explain what Easter is about in French is hilarious. His books are funny in general, but I was listening to the audio and actually had to pull over I was laughing and crying so hard at that point.

I could not attempt to drive and listen to his books. They make me tear up all the time.
I third Mary Roach's books. She is one funny lady! I think Stiff and Bonk are my favorites. I found Packing for Mars surprisingly enjoyable for a topic (space) that I didn't much care about.
I also really liked Knocked up by Rebecca Eckler. She's a newspaper columnist and wrote a book about her pregnancy. It has a wide range of reviews on goodreads, some really hate the author but I thought she was hilarious! Kind of snarky and kind of self centered but I interrupted a lot of it as just being dramatic or sarcastic. So I think if you don't take the book too seriously, it was pretty funny! www.goodreads.com/book/show/486626.Knocked_Up

Fourthing Mary Roach.
AJ Jacobs is also really funny-- he takes on projects and writes books about them. He read the Encyclopedia Britannica, spent a year adhering to every tenet of the Bible, and outsourced his life to India. His latest book is about fitness-- I haven't read it yet, but hope to soon.
(although I wasn't crazy about The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid)
I loved The Life and Times of the Thunderbolt Kid BUT I think its because my mom grew up in the same area of Des Moines as Bill Bryson and I knew of all the places that he mentioned in the book. A few of the chapters had me laughing so hard I had tears running down my face!
Ditto the David Sedaris. Also, Kathy Griffin's Official Book Club Selection is hilarious. She has a few moments where she does get real about her family and is serious, but most of the book is lighter reading and she just has a great way of telling a story.
