I've been playing phone tag with the HR manager at one of my previous employers. I finally got her on the phone today only to have her tell me that the position I applied for had been filled. WTF couldn't she have told me that in the last voicemail. I've been calling multiple times a day and wasting my time.

I met Mindy Kaling at a book signing earlier this week. I'm still excited about it.

I met with my advisor today to put together a plan for me to finish my dissertation. Exciting and terrifying at the same time.
