I'm in a serious reading rut. I haven't read a book that has held my attention in a long time and can't find anything that sounds interesting. I'm open to pretty much anything.
I just finished Lord of The Flies and holy hell was that a disturbing book.
The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver The Thirteenth Tale by Diane Setterfield The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks Anything by Augusten Burroughs Anything by David Sedaris Anything by Mary Roach
I'm reading East of Eden (John Steinbeck) right now (cheating on my challenge to do so)

Thanks guys. A good portion of these I have read, but there are quite a few I will look into.
dcannie-I didn't dislike Lord of the Flies, but I didn't enjoy it either. Does that make sense? I got what the author was getting at, it was just weird to read/see kids devolve in such a way. I found it a tad frightening.
11/22/63 - Stephen King Molokai and Honolulu - Alan Brennert
Gone Girl - Gillian Flynn is next on my list
I second Moloka'i. I've also really enjoyed Unbroken by Laura Hillenbrand, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, The Help by Kathryn Stockett, Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen, and A Thousand Spledid Suns by Khaled Hosseinei.
I always recommend Tana French if you like murder mysteries/suspense - In the Woods, The Likeness, Faithful Place, Broken Harbor. The Likeness is my favorite, but will make more sense if you read them in the order I listed them (the characters are all interconnected but there is a new narrator/pov for each book).
I liked The Art of Fielding by Chad Harbach, Delirium and Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver were okay, I loved The Book Thief by Markus Zusak and This Is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper.
I agree with a lot of TR's suggestions, too. I really like Curtis Sittenfeld! I haven't read Man of My Dreams yet though.
Oh, and I'm finally reading The Girl Who Played With Fire after reading Dragon Tattoo a couple of years ago. It took me forever to get into Dragon Tattoo but I loved it about halfway through. I haven't had this problem with the second book - it hooked me from the start.
