My H won't say a peep to any patient about their exam, other than explaining what he's going to do. People think he's being rude but really, he's not a radiologist, he's not a Dr, and he doesn't want to say anything that might be taken the wrong way or inaccurate.

When I've had an ultrasound, the technician pointed out the heartbeat. I was further along though. I imagine some are very serious about not giving anything away-positive or negative. Sorry it wasn't a reassuring experience-I hope everything is ok.
@bigreddog- no the tech can't comment, but if there wasn't a heartbeat at 6w3d I wouldn't be worried. (I know that's easier said then done.) My OB says that they sometimes don't see a heartbeat until closer to 7w.
I had an ultrasound done last Tuesday and I am measuring 6w4d and there was maybe a heartbeat, but he wasn't sure. He said that's fine at that point in the pregnancy.

This is all so true. I had a bunch if really early u/s, and I don't think we saw HBs until closer to 7w. Early pregnancy can be such a mindfuck even when everything is ok. Hang in there!
The techs in my OB office do provide info, good and bad. The one time they couldn't find the hb by doppler at 14wks and the techs were already gone for the day, I had to go to the hospital radiology. That tech could not say anything, but she turned the screen away and was pretty grim and disconnected. I atill had to wait 20min for my dr to call with the results but it was obvious. So body language can be a clue.
