I had prenatal yoga this morning -- tons of malasana which feels amazing! Just did my hypnobabies with a side of napping. Today is our 6th anniversary so tonight we are making a fancy meal. Tomato soup baked with a puff pastry top, beouf bourguignon with egg noodles, apple tart with sea salt caramel ice cream. Going to enjoy a glass of Stag's Leap Cab too! Tomorrow DH is going to paint the playroom while I sew curtains. I also really could use a trip to Nordies for some a new bra. My goal is to stay home as much as possible now unless working out so hopefully I can get by with one!
We did some shopping for the new house today and went to the grocery. Tomorrow will be pretty laid back, thinking about going to see The Martian.
Not a lot to do in terms of setting up the house or nursery until we get our household goods. The big load comes on Friday, but that's not the one that has our baby stuff in it. Only the crib and changing table are in that one. The load that has our baby stuff in it won't be here until like the 3rd week of October. Boo.
That meal sounds phenomenal boiler717- happy Anniversary!
My sister, brother-in-law and nephews are in town this weekend so we've been spending time with them. I love watching my DD with her cousins, she adores them. We did the museum this morning and trying to get a pumpkin patch visit in, too. Hopefully there will be no rain tomorrow and we can go!
We moved in yesterday! Nothing like being 36 weeks and sleeping on an air mattress! At least its one of those double thick ones, so I slept just as well on it as I did in the hotel. But our bed will be here Friday and is definitely the first thing we'll set up. I miss our memory foam mattress topper.
My cousin is here visiting this weekend. She's 2 years younger than me and we grew up kind of like sisters (my real sister is 14 years younger than me and more like a cousin). It's really nice to see her. We don't have any specific plans or anything - just hanging out. I've now been here 2 weeks, and it's starting to sink in that I'm not just on holiday. It's also starting to sink in that I won't see H until just before Christmas, and I'm feeling sad about that.

A couple times a year, a group of my friends gets together, makes a big batch of royal icing, and decorates cookies. Everyone brings a bottle of champagne and a snack to share. It's usually a long day of drinking, eating, and chatting, with the cookies being more of a side entertainment. Tomorrow is the first time we've done it since I've been pregnant. I'll miss having a day of champagne drinking, but I suppose it'll be nice not to have the subsequent evening of bloated dehydration.
Today we're just hanging out at home. I'm doing a lot of cooking.

I've been laying low today I didn't sleep well last night and have a sore throat. A friend gave us 4 tubs of clothes 6-24 months so I've slowly been going through those. I need to figure out where to put the stuff that's way too big for the time being.
It's unseasonably cold and rainy (but thankfully the hurrican shifted) and I'm sick with a cold AND stomach bug, so we've been very lazy. DD watched more TV in the past 24 hours than she usually watches in a week and I just don't care - at least it's mostly Sesame Street and Daniel Tiger.
Tomorrow is supposed to be a little nicer, but I have no plans. As much as I want to go baby shopping, I've put myself on a spending freeze for the next 2 weeks. My goal for tomorrow, if I can pull it together, is to organize DD's closet and make room for the baby's stuff in there.
Just leaving Shanbrite's service. It was beautiful. I plan to eat and go to bed when I get home. What I thought was allergies seems to be a cold. Tomorrow is just normal chores.

Dd wanted to go through a tub of baby clothes she found... We don't have much to start, but did save some good blankets and sleep sacks and crib sheets...every little bit helps! Also found my ergo.
Still trying to finish cleaning the last bit of crap from the baby's room so my mom and sister can't paint in there this week (they offered)
Tomorrow the girls and I are having an apple picking play date and lunch with my friend and her kids.

Feel better! Did you get some nice clothes?
Yes a lot of staples simple tops and bottoms. Her youngest was born a few days after my due date so the seasons matched up really well! I have 3 garbage bags to pass on to another friend or my SIL.
Fall is making me crave beer, like one of the yummy pumpkin Octoberfest ones. I know I could have a little now and it's NBD, but there's something about just relaxing with a beer and that lovely little buzz that I really miss right now.
Yeah, the occasional careful drink takes the edge off the alcohol restriction, but I agree about missing that lovely little buzz. But it'll come soon enough, I suppose.
We had to go shopping to get things for DD's birthday next weekend. We also went into Buy Buy Baby, no intending to, but we ended up buying the furniture for the nursery. Now we have to figure out the paint and be done with that in the next 6-8 weeks so it's done in case the furniture shows up early.
Spending time with a friend and her girls since our DHs are away for work. I have a group craft day tomorrow to make a wreath then relax next week until DH comes home. Trying to steer away from buying baby stuff since I found a lady selling a lot of girls clothing from both her girls that are now 5. She has outfits from NB and up.

I swear I get a buzz from like 1/4 a glass of wine now ?

H and I made an effort to spend a lot of time together this weekend since we are getting down to the wire. We saw the Martian on Friday night which was good, but baby was in my ribs or something for 90% of the movie (so I was miserable). Yesterday we went out to brunch and watched football. I made some freezer meals between games so I feel accomplished there. Today we are headed out for donuts and an art show!

Are we the same person? We went to see the Martian tonight and baby was kicking away at my ribs tonight during the whole movie. When the movie starting got good there at the end, he took to punching my full bladder too.

I was getting so frustrated because I didn't wanna miss anything but felt like standing up for a few mins might help.

Standing up or being able to stretch out laying down usually get him out of my ribs too. I'd already left once to pee during the movie, so I didn't want to leave a second time if I could absolutely help it!
