She's now locked herself in the bathroom and is crying. Because a puffy face and red eyes is a way better look than beachhead my waves.
Oh no. I can see into the future.
Turn the curling iron as hot as it will go. (Resist the urge to poke her with it.) Do the hair in 4-5 layers. Make sure you hold the curling iron so the clamp is facing the front of your face and roll back.
The small things blog has a good tutorial on how to curl hair.
DS1 is watching tv, DS2 is hopefully asleep and I'm going to attempt to put DD down in a minute (she's half sleeping in my arms right now after nursing).
I pray I cam get a mini nap in on the couch since once everyone wakes up we are headed to a friends house to watch the UFC fights. But at least there should be a couple friends there who will hold DD for me most of the night and I can feel like I get mini break and enjoy a cocktail or glass of wine.

Hugs, chilerellanos. That will be my future I'm sure.
I found Not Your Father's Root Beer at my grocery store. After all the hype, of course I had to buy it, but it was expensive. H saw it and was like "huh? boozy root beer?" I did not and will not tell him how much it cost lol.

We got poured on at the football game. We stopped in the college bookstore on the way out of campus and bought a few shirts. My h picked out two new hats and two shirts and didn't check prices. I looked at the tags in the car just now and about died that he just paid $75 for a stupid under armour shirt that says michigan state. Der.
We are going to trader joes soon as baby wakes up from a pretty long nap (3hrs 17mjn so far). I know everyone says "sleep begets sleep" but sometimes I wonder if long lateish naps cause more night wakeups because he hasn't filled up on bm during the day.
The weather is so so nice outside and I really hope I can start going on long walks next week a la farmvillelover. Hopefully walking DS1 to preschool is a pleasant experience because that would be at least 1.5 - 3 miles (3/4miles each way) twice a week!
All the kids took naps! Fx they all sleep better tonight, I think my older ones especially are just SO tired by the end of the school week that it was devolving into a shitshow.
The only thing we left the house for was to run up to the pedi office for the flu mist open hours. And we took a family walk around the neighborhood since it's good for DH to get a bit of exercise at this point. I made homemade chocolate chip cookies and will continue the carb binge by making noodles for dinner.
I bought snacks for my mom's house because I was craving pizza rolls. She tried to talk me out of making them. Now she is eating them happily. We have poppers, doritos popper things and pizza rolls.

So remember that toilet we installed? We turned the water on to the bathroom. Cue rushing water in the ceiling, running down the walls and out of the baseboards (wahhhhhhh!). My dad called the plumber and said "I assumed you were done" and he was like "nope!" Way to ASSume dad. And why didn't we test the water before we closed the walls and painted??
Have I mentioned he is the worst project manager ever?!?!
My H's football team lost (again) today. Second weekend in a row he hasn't spoken since the loss. Last weekend, he was mute from the end of the game Saturday until Sunday night. We went out to an early dinner in between football games, and he didn't speak. Delightful. At what point is it OK for me to strangle him? He's now napping in the middle of the living room while I wrangle the kids in the playroom. Useless.
I am over poop. After we got home this afternoon I changed DD (poop), then she ate and had to be changed again (poop). Then she poops on the changing table while I am changing her which requires a new changing pad cover. THEN I lay her down in her crib for a nap and she wakes up screaming and had a leaky poop diaper which leaked all over her brand new outfit, and her sheets.
Wtf. I hate laundry. I hate poop. I hate poop laundry. Rage.
We planned a fancy dinner at home for our anniversary. DH is cooking it while I rest on the couch watching football because I'm having lots of BH. He's trying to set the table now like he thinks I'll be getting off the couch LOL
Heading into the city soon to celebrate my friend's (probable) surprise engagement tonight. I've never been part of such a thing, and one of my oot college friends is flying in for it, so I'm really excited. Looking forward to some adult time.
To honor the spirit of the 80k fans down the road braving a hurricane to act crazy on Game Day and watch my alma mater play, I think we're going to watch our first game this season. Also up tonight - a fire and molasses cookies. Hey, it is in the 50s.

Ds spent the day with my mom and was just a perfect little boy. I go to pick him up and he screamed the whole way home because I had to put him in his car seat and then because he didn't like the song that was on. Thanks kid, glad to see you too.
I think DS1 brought a cold home because he's had a runny nose for a few days. Now The rest of us don't feel good and I had to use the nose Frieda on DS2

Nope, nope, nope. Fuck that. He can be pissed, but to not say a word for over 24hrs? Hell no.
went on a nature hike this morning and it was beautiful and DD had a great time. Been cleaning and prepping all afternoon for my coloring party tonight. I'm hosting another party tomorrow afternoon. I figured if the house is already clean might as well host both events this weekend!

The ONLY way this would fly is if my H was like, Nick Saban. Then I would get over his pouty ass attitude while spending all those millions.
