How are all my weight lifters doing? Anything going really well? Any rants or vents?
My H and I decided that since we've been doing Stronglifts for ages, that it was time to shake things up. So now we're doing six exercises on an A-day, B-day rotation that includes whole body on both days. We're doing 3 sets of 8-12 reps. Yesterday we found our 1RM on A-day, Wednesday we'll do B-day. I'm sore today (combo of the hard game on Saturday and lifting yesterday).

I'm easing back in after my BA three and a half weeks ago. I'm limited to pretty much lower body right now.
I've been doing Wendler 5/3/1 and I think I can do the lower body days as written with much lower weights on the deadlift days. It will take months for me to be able to do heavy deadlifts again. Ugh.
Upper body days will be a challenge for a while. No chest work (or other lifts that engage the pecs) for several more months. So I'm the chick doing all the curls. Lol.

Well, I think I do. I have my check up with my OB post c-section and am expecting to get cleared.
Of course, our gym is in testing week and Lord knows I don't want to test anything right now, so I'm planning to spend my week doing some Westside Barbell stuff and rowing, probably.

I'm getting stronger again. After being in the US all of July I was off my game (except on squats, since I decided to follow a squat heavy program while I was in CA), and now I'm back to hitting my usual numbers and frequently getting small PRs. 2.5 kg on my strict press last week, woo hoo!
We had been doing 3 sets of 20 for every exercise. I felt like I was going to die every time. We moved to 5 sets of 10, and that feels so much more manageable.

I'm on my first deload week of following the Wendler 5/3/1 program and I'm in lurve.
In four weeks, I've increased my (estimated) one rep maxes from Arnold Press (dumbbells)- 30 to 33 Back Squat - 150 to 158
I switched bench to dumbbell press because that way I don't need a spotter so my numbers fell a bit but I finished last week with being able to do one rep with 37.5 dumbbells so I felt badass.
No progress in deadlifts but finished with 5 x 135 which felt really good. That'll come next cycle.
