My kids and I will be in Panama City next week and I've never been. Anyone have any recommendations of things to do and places to eat that are family friendly?
I grew up going down there. Ditto the putt putt and go carts. The Miracle Strip is closed. I think the waterpark is still open and it was pretty kid-friendly.
Miracle Strip is permanently closed, but some of the rides are at Pier Park. Shipwreck Island is the water park, but check the dates to be sure it is open.
After they tore down the original park, they moved some of the Miracle Strip rides to Pier Park. They added on quite a bit next to Pier Park, but I'm not sure if those rides are open right now. Shipwreck closes after Labor Day.
I rode the Ferris wheel at PP over a xmas vacation, so I am sure they aren't closed. Weather there is still gorgeous.
There's a super fun pirate cruise that you can go on. It takes you out by Shell Island and we saw tons of dolphins. There's a fun restaurant called Boondocks about 10 minutes outside of PCB, and next door to it is a place where you can take airboat rides. That was probably the most fun thing we did while we were there over the summer.
