Or a former co-worker. (I like her, she's not at all devil like)
My end of the bargain is to uphold running a 5k next year.
I've never ever even completed 1 mile successfully let alone 3. I don't run. I like running, I suck at running, I don't run.
I think it was Melodramtic? that gave me hope for being a fat chick and doing C25K. (Thanks!!)
I just am a giant wuss and don't really know how to start. As in, how to get my butt out the door into the big ole world and make a fool of myself puffing along running.
Andplusalso, no cell phone means no app for C25K. So how do I effectively do these guidelines without the podcast or app? Do I use a stop watch and constantly look down and do it? Or what? I feel like I'd have to run with a clip board while I check to see what interval I need to be at.

I don't have a smart phone either. I use the stopwatch feature on my old school iPod. Just go at your own pace and you'll. Find yourself gradually improving. You'll. Do great!

Eta damnable this fire and its spellcheck.
kindle? Mine makes me spell like a 3rd grader.
Hmm...I just need to memorize the intervals.
I want to use the track in town, I believe it's a half mile long.
ETA: I have a treadmill but I really don't want to use it. Solely because running on the road uses different muscles then running on a treadmill. I guess I could mix it up though and hope they balance each other out?
Running stores in my area have information about running clubs. People of all levels can meet up to run and plus you can get advice on form, pacing, etc. For me, having to meet up with someone, keeps me doing what I should be doing, even if I don't want to.
It think this is awesome and I know you can do it.

Perhaps when I get into it. Right now I think I'd rather huff and puff it out alone. But meeting up with people does sound fun!
I've always wanted to run. I've always wanted to do a 5k. I've just always let myself stay fat and not really exercise. I figure I'm 22 years old, something has got to give. If I don't start chasing goals and just going out on limbs now, then I never will.
I am working towards a half marathon in the next year or so at Disney. 1) I am not a runner, at all, so this would be huge. 2) it actually looks fun 3) I get to go to Disney and it's rides and churros after the race. Not too shabby

Here's what ive been doing the last few weeks. I started with five minute intervals. Week one I walked four minutes and ran one for 30 minutes. Week two I added 30 seconds to my run time so I walked 3 1/2 minutes and ran 1 1/2 mine. Each week ive added another 30 seconds. This week i'm up to 2 1/2 minutes but am DYING so i will probably do this week again. I do this three days a week and use the mileage tracker on sparkpeople.
I really hope they do another color run next year. They look so fun.
We should all meet up and do a race, it would be fun! there is one that goes around the parks at night which sounds really neat.
I would so do it! Just check back with me next year to make sure I'm still alive! But that would be awesome.
I really feel like if I accomplish this, that I will have accomplished something HUGE. I dream about running, literally dream about it. It consumes a lot of daily thinking too. I've just never tried because I was always too scared.
