Wew, what a week! Bit of an update

My boss/mentor/friend resigned from the company. This is the first week without her here.
I took on all of her products, at least until December, which is when we present to Walmart. So, I have 42 products in my list that I have to finalize (Final samples, packaging design, packaging copy, marketing collateral, etc) by 12/1. So, I've been busy.

The potential good news- My name has been thrown around as being a leader, good attitude, rising star.

I have been talking to my boss (The one that is over the dept.) and she sees me handling both Walmart, plus TJ Maxx, having my own associate product manager and getting a promotion/raise. That last part is a stretch. The company likes free labor. But it at least allows me to present a case for raise after I've been in the position for a while.

I will be very excited to get an assistant though. not just for the help on the work, but also to hone in on managerial skills that I don't have yet.

So, needless to say, this is why I'm hardly here lately.

Yay, that is exciting!! I mean, it sounds like a TON of work, but I'm glad people are noticing and you're getting an assistant. I bet they will get you that raise at some point!
