This is how I was greeted when I walked into my writing workshop. :^) The person who said it is a sweet lady, so I am sure she meant it nicely, but I was kind of taken aback because a) I have never even remotely thought of myself as beauty-pageant pretty, and b) it may be kind of awful and stereotypical, but when I think beauty queen, I usually think airhead.
I think I just made a confused face and then smiled.
Well, did you waive like one? I totally would. Tiara and all.
"Elbow elbow, wrist wrist, wave goodbye and blow a kiss"
I did this in aerial class the other day because we were going over like "yep, shoulder, then elbow, then wrist... shoulder, elbow, wrist." It felt fitting. Lol.
I'm going to assume it's because you're always dressed so cute because no way could someone see you as vapid/an airhead/all the things I think of when I hear "beauty queen".
I know what you mean. There is a girl that always greats me with, "hey beautiful!". While that is lovely, I am not beautiful with no makeup on, bags under my eyes, and a scowl on my face.

I disagree. I've seen you in the mornings. Still beautiful.
