What's everyone up to?


Last night I went to Oktoberfest in downtown and I danced the night away with my girlfriend and a few guys we met standing in line! Today I'm curled up in bed catching up on tv.

I'm feeling bummed because I went out with this guy this week but I feel like I came on way to strong and so he bolted. It's totally been months since I went on a date and I felt quite rusty at it. I'm going to take it as a learning experience and keep on.

Just hanging around today. Probably gonna hit the grocery store a bit later. 

I actually took off tomorrow and Tuesday so I'm happy.  I plan to go get my hair done and  maybe a mani/pedi and just relax.

I went on a 5 mile walk this morning, now I'm parked on the couch drinking coffee.

I got up and got dressed in clothes to go for a long walk/run but am still on the couch. Now my stomach is growling and I have no food in the house, so I'll have to get up eventually and get some food. But I don't wanna!!!

I started Empire and am now glued to my couch.

I've been studying like a crazy person all weekend. I even took Wednesday and Thursday off this week because I have 2 midterms this week. There are not enough hours in the day.

We're supposed to get a "cold front" this week. By cold, it will be in the mid-80s. :/

Yesterday we checked out a kids' trick-or-treat themed event with pony rides and stuff. Today I just bummed around the house with my daughter; watched a movie, cleaned the house, played outside (which somehow turned into raking. Bonus! ) my only regret is not going outside sooner, it was gorgeous and crazy warm.

I had a blast at my cousin's wedding last night! Oh and who would have thought I would be an amazing wheelchair dancer! My arms hurt like hell today, but it was so worth it!

I was a little upset that the ceremony venue was not wheelchair accessible, contrary to the person I emailed from the place. It was all grass, downhill, and there were random tree roots and stumps on which my chair was getting stuck. I was kinda embarrassed, but it turned out to be okay.

I had a MAJOR fight with my father and I think I am done. When I arrived at the hotel, there was a shuttle to take us to the venue. I got my chair out of my car and my dad came up to me and was like "there's no room on the shuttle for your chair." I said I will make room and legally they have to have ADA accommodations. Then as I was leaving the hotel to get on the shuttle, the driver was helping me and guess who gets off the shuttle to help me in front of all the other people going to the wedding. My fucking dad. Like WTF?!? You just were a complete asshole to me when no one was around, but now you want to look like father of the year when you're in front of tons of people. NO! GFY!

Despite these two things, I still had a great time. I'm glad I am off tomorrow so I can relax and catch up on much needed rest!

Found out Friday night that my brother and SIL are separating. They've been married 13 years and have 2 kids. I'm pretty sad about it, although it wasn't a complete shock. He was the one who initiated. He seems ok, but I told him to call me if he ever needs to talk

We went to a reptile expo today with a friend and her family. They have 2 bearded dragons and 1 gecko. Now, DD1 wants some kind of lizard. I told her no as we are strictly a mammal family, lol. I was half joking but I told her she wasn't allowed to get one until she was old enough, and willing, to take care of it herself. She needs to be the one to clean the cage, feed & water it, and interact with it. As of right now, I am the one who cleans and feeds/waters the hamsters so I know she's not ready yet.

I am at my gate for my flight, it's almost scary how easy it was to fly with no Id. I

I've got feelings for someone I absolutely should not and I don't know what to do about it.

I was pretty clear on NOT wanting a diamond ring, and he was pretty insistent that it look like an engagement ring, and we both got what we wanted!

Oddly enough, I have a ring of my grandmother's that I wear from time to time - it was her 25th anniversary ring. He had never really noticed it before, despite the fact that I'm sure I've worn it plenty in the past 2.5 years, but he picked a ring that had the same style (sort of a twisted look with diamonds in between the little twists). He was shocked when he noticed my grandmother's ring the other day. She passed away in 2001 and she was the one person who I was sure loved me more than anyone else in the world, so I like the thought that she somehow had a hand in the ring he chose.
