I feel like I always ask the dumbest fashion questions, but how do you wear leggings without looking terrible. I have a handful of leggings and would like to wear them with tall boots since there is no bunching, etc. but I always feel self conscious. I only have couple of sweaters that are longer and fully cover my butt and anything higher feels flashy. Also im thin and have a thigh gap... I feel like it looks like camel toe even if it's just the pants seam since the leggings aren't too small/tight. So how do you wear them? Only with a long sweater or am I just too self conscious.
True leggings I wear with dresses, tunics, and long tops. Legging jeans are more forgiving & modest IMO so I think they can be worn with a slightly shorter top if you are comfortable with it. Me, with my bum? I'm not LOL.
I usually pair legging with dresses that are a bit too short to be worn alone because I may flash people. I agree that jeggings are a bit more forgiving for top length.

I used to feel the same. I had to ease into it with the jeggings. Now I can wear plain black leggings with longer tops. I think a long top layered over a tank or something helps you feel not so exposed. Tall boots help. Then there's what maybe 8-10" of legging showing if that? (I'm short so there's usually not much!)

This exactly. Love this dress, but only with leggings:
I pretty much only wear with shirt dresses/tunics.

I LOVE leggings and pretty much live in them all winter. They feel like wearing pajamas!
I just make sure my butt and crotch are covered. That's how I feel comfortable wearing them. I own a lot of tunics, sweater dresses, long cardigans, and long sweaters that meet this criterion. Most places sell longer sweaters/tunics, but one place I have found a lot is Old Navy.
