but I'd love to hear of reasonably-priced gifts you've gotten in the past that you really enjoyed. I'm trying to get a jump on Xmas this year and do my shopping early, but I am drawing a blank on what to get some people.

I love doing theme gifts. For instance, one year for my office gift exchange I brought in an "as seen on tv" brownie pan thing, a box of Ghirardelli brownie mix and a cute holiday spatula.
This year I found a s'mores maker on amazon and will be combining it with a bag of marshmallows, chocolate bars and box of graham crackers.
Another year I bought a mug set from Crate and barrel and bought really nice hot chocolate mix.
For my bosses this year I'm buying them each a wine aerator (absolutely no clue if that is how it is spelled) and these fancy alcoholic candies from sugarfina.
I love pj bottoms. But I also love anything that isn't more stuff. A friend made homemade vanilla one year. That was awesome. I also love homemade salsa, chutneys, jams. Chocolate is always a winner. Basically food.
My BFF always knocks it out of the park because she buys me really comfy or personalized things. Last year she sent super soft pjs and a necklace (symbolizing an inside joke, but very beautiful). She's good at upgrading, too, and has given me fancy scarves or champagne or gloves or things I usually wouldn't buy myself.
For my family, everyone has amazon lists so it makes gift giving easier. Previously for his family, we did sets of things. Last gift was monogrammed hand towels with B&BW foaming holiday soap. Or C&B mugs with fancy teas or cocoa.
This post is inspiring me to try and slowly start Christmas shopping. The ladies here have given good ideas. Food or themed baskets are nice, gift cards, booze, candles, lots of women are into the ale.x and a.ni bracelets which are reasonable, movie tickets.... When in doubt I do booze or a gc.
I'm always looking for unique and cheap gifts. One of my favorite places to shop is etsy.
There are unique jewelry shops and clothing if your into buying. I also love the pottery/plate/cup section. I've gotten a few camp like cups from there. Last year a few cool prints there for a gift for my boss.

I want toys, but no one ever believes me. Puzzles or games where you manipulate things. I don't really like gift cards except Starbucks because shopping is a hassle to me. It takes me an average of 2 years to spend gift cards.

I love Puzzles! Thanks for reminding me to add them to my wish list. I need to get one of the roll up mats since my cats like to snack on cardboard; I havent been able to do a puzzle in years because of them.
