I am jonesing for pizza like woah.
ETA: Some wretched person brought panera bagels into the office and I wasn't even tempted. Now if they were Einstein pumpkin or well any Einstein bagels I would have been more tempted.

10K training program initiated. Mondays are short runs (2..5-3 miles). Tuesday is cardio cross training. Wednesdsay is strength training and a 2 mile run. Thursdays are rest. Friday is cardio/weight cross training. Saturdays are my long runs. Sunday is stretching/yoga.
We're doing an 8K on Thanksgiving. There's actually no 10K listed in December, but whatever.

I really need to get back into a routine. Maybe once I get back from vacation I'll start a 10k training program or something, just to have a schedule again. I've just been so tired.
Einstein Brothers bagels are awful, but I'm spoiled by growing up on real, NY-style bagels. The closest I've found are from Manhattan Bagels - they definitely boil them first, like you're supposed to.

I am not allowed to lift overhead yet, per my PT.
I am lifting today and will run tomorrow.
I will probably be eating ALL THE FOODS in NY, but at least I will be walking a ton. I will pack my running clothes so that I can try to get a run or 2 in. I do not plan to drink much while I'm there.
My Tuesday midafternoon meeting streak continues! I love that time slot because I just go straight home and have time for a run before picking up the kids.
3 rough miles today. 4.5 glorious miles on Saturday though.
I hate the treadmill. It's so BORING. Even watching youtube videos doesn't really help - my treadmill is really really loud so I have to use headphones and crank the volume and then my headphones fall out repeatedly and...yeah, the miles still just DRAG by. But it did just let me get a run in while Shorti took a nap. So...yay treadmill? (I am aware that a treadmill that wasn't free and some better headphones would help, but I don't have those things.)
As of last night (mid month!) I was down 16 minutes on my workout bet. The week before I was up almost 2 hours, but then my opponent pulled two two-a-days. Now it's on...she better lay off the doubles or I'm screwed. The really awesome side benefit of this bet is that I literally can't afford to lose since we're broke as shit right now - loser buys the winner a pedicure and we have $0 fun budget money so my purse string clutching husband is suddenly EXTRA SUPER SUPPORTIVE of my getting my workouts in. Silver Lining!
I'm at a standstill this week. I've been sick all week, so I haven't been working out and all my stomach could tolerate thus far has been simple carbs.

I ate donuts for breakfast yesterday, but then I walked almost 23,000 steps. I think there is pizza in my future, but there is also a walk across the Brooklyn bridge.
France was not good for RAC. I'm trying to get myself motivated to get back on the bandwagon, but instead I had apple cider donuts for breakfast. My motivation for working out is in the toilet.
Goal is to do 4 miles 3 times a week starting today.
Sign up for a race? Any Turkey Trot 10k's in your area?

Racing keeps me motivated. Look for a fun Halloween themed 5k in your area or Turkey Trot. I LOVE doing the local turkey trot. It's crazy busy and not a race to PR. None the less, so much fun. It's also usually pretty chilly (for FL!).
This my week break. No ballet. No tracking calories. No lifting. It's been glorious because MY FEET DON'T HURT all the damn time. But now that it's the end of the week I am getting antsy and ready to be working out again. Workouts start back up on Monday as well as calorie tracking. I'm looking forward to it.
I (accidentally) body checked one of the bigger/more muscular guys in class today and he went flying. I was simultaneously mortified and proud. For his part he gave me a compliment for body checking him. LOL!
I posted a comment on my cousin talking about her half training asking if she was planning on doing a turkey trot again this year and the next thing I know I'm signed up on a team with her and her H and her mom (my aunt).
I wasn't sure I wanted to talk mh into being Ok with spending that money.
Oh well. It's only $25. And yay 5k!
Cousin messaged me with a warning that her mom is going to kick both our asses. She doesn't train but shes fit as hell from being a farmer and can roll out of bed and run a 28 minute 5k like it's nothing. I'm going to struggle for 35 min. Damn old people being all fit and shit making me look bad.
