I feel like girls are familiar territory for me, and boys...not so much. I can name hundreds of things I love about being a mom and hundreds of things I love about being the mom of a girl. So, tell me, what do you love about being the mom of a boy? I'm excited to find out firsthand

There is nothing I don't love. Ok, there are some things, but those are minor. I love his fun personality, his adventurous side, his all around general boyness. How much he loves me,how he tells me I'm beautiful, how much fun he has playing with his dad, all that stuff. He can be so sweet and wonderful and just the son that is perfect for me.
Oh, and like I said to you the other day, cleaning a baby boy poop mess is so much easier! And while there are far less boy clothes, they can be darn cute too.

I love to snuggle with me... Seriously. He won't snuggle with DH but will crawl to me just to snuggle ( it melts my heart)
He has such a fun personality and is "tough" and I put that in quotes bc one day he can run into something and keep going but the next I tell him No and he starts wimpering at me and throwing a fit.

I love that he is adventurous and fearless, and somedays a completely wild little boy, but yet he is still so snuggly and affectionate. The boy loves to cuddle! He likes to tells me I look like like a princess, as opposed to a little girl who wants to be the princess herself. He has both a very strong personality and yet a very sensitive side.
Since D is just a few months old, I can tell you what I'm looking forward to. The opposite of pink, frilly ballerina tutu princess things. Granted, all that stuff is cute and all, but I'm looking forward to rough & tumble, dirt & casual boy things. Trucks, monsters, sports... Those kinds of things.

Caleb is pretty young still but I have to tell you, there's just something about having a son. It's like a completely different feeling than with Kennedy. I can't describe it. And there is definitely cute boy clothes, you just have to look.
As for the clothes, I am BEYOND excited to shop for little boy stuff. I think it's adorable, and I'm so over pink dresses. 90% of Lily's clothes did not come from me or Khan. My family is insane, and Lily gets frilly dresses in the mail regularly. It's nice, but still crazy.

Jealous!!! I wish my family sent frilly dresses. Or anything for that matter. My aunt sent some shit from TJ Maxx that looks like it was tossed in a pile of dirt, and then it sat in her car or house for what I assume to be weeks since it smelled like a carton of cigarettes.
Mskate I think at one time or another your boy might end up in a frilly dress for fun if lily has anything to do with it. And I think that's awesome! I would love to have a son for A to terrorize if I end up with #2
LOL, Sara, I think you're right. And Lily will probably want to paint his nails and put make up on him, too. I let her put make up on me the other day, and she brushed dark brown eye shadow all over my chin. Not sure the look she was going for, but she said it was beautiful and sparkly.

I only have a 3 month old but I love having a boy. And I was one who was slightly disappointed because I dreamed of having a little ballerina in cute frilly dresses.. but I can't imagine having it any other way. I don't know what to tell you specifically because I don't have anything to compare, but I love every bit of it.
