1. DS2 slept in his crib. He's 8 mos and had been sleeping in the pnp. He only woke up twice and he did not scream at 4 am. He woke up at 5, I brought him to bed and nursed, and he went back to sleep until 6. Yay!!
2. DS1 sings "Lullaby, lullaby" to the tune of "Lullaby and Goodnight" to DS2 when he is crying. He did it in the car and while I was making dinner yesterday. It is wicked cute.
1. DS has been a lot better at dinner lately. It's nice to have a dinner that isn't accompanied by screaming.
2. DS is so cute and loves to play little games with us. He will run into the other room and hide the ball. He comes back in and puts his hands and says "Where's the ball?" Then we try to go find it. He has so much fun watching us try to find it!

Cute. I love when they make up games and stories. DS1 talks to his trains, stuffed animals, or rockets he makes out of megablocks before he falls asleep. Kids are pretty funny.

1. J learned to sit down by himself in the crib. Hallelujah! We're still not back to a completely drama-free bedtime and naptime (I think teething might be contributing to this), but we are darn close. I didn't realize how much my sanity depended on him sleeping well. Now I know.
2. I think I had been underestimating J's ability to handle table food. I'm making a concerted effort to get away from purees and somebody is handling the food like a champ.
1. I'm thankful that I'm almost full term and still in good health and feeling reasonably decent. Everything is on track at my OB visits, no swelling whatsoever, and I'm just sort of generally sore and uncomfortable at work but nothing too awful. I feel very lucky.
2. Our nursery is almost done and it's super cute. I can't wait to AW pictures. I will hopefully have the curtains and bedding this weekend.
1. DS only woke up once last night. This was after coughing and being up an hour + every hour after that the night before when we were traveling. It's like he knows JUST how far to push me before he throws me a good night. I was so happy when he woke me up at 3:30 because I'd had 5 hours of straight sleep.
2. DS has favorite songs. "If You're Happy and You Know It" and "Baa Baa Black Sheep". So strange, but on our long drive if he started to fuss, we'd crank the "baa baa" and he'd chill out.

Sleep is awesome. Glad he's doing better. What table foods have you tried? Even though this is my second go round, for some reason I'm blanking on food options. We tried pasta last night.
1. We've somehow programmed DD to wave whenever someone says, "Bye." It's adorable. She does it constantly at daycare when other parents are dropping off or picking up.
2. We are going to the beach this weekend for a mini-vacation. We haven't taken a real vacation in almost 2 years, so at least this is something.

1. The cold seems to be almost over 2. Layla learned to clap hands, wave and then today to brush hair. The brush is one of her favourite toys (i gave her a clean new little one) and she often just sits and eats it, but if you ask her to, she will run the brush over your hair. Sometimes it is the back of the brush....
1. DD is competent at communicating with other kids on the playground in French, so I'm no longer worried that her whole summer at home with me has caused a huge regression in her language skills. Just in case, I'm still trying to do at least one bedtime story in French every few nights or so.
2. DD and I are going to Berlin next week on a girls only vacation.
That was hard. I've had a pretty down week overall, but this was a good exercise.
1. I think my Ergo is going to work out. I wore it for a while today and didn't feel any pain, so thanks for thr rec ladies! Being able to take all three kids for a walk is huge ly helpful for me.
2. No major tantrums for DS today. That's always a good thing
1. DH & I had a rough patch in June/July (vacations, houseguests, potty training, etc) are in a really good place now again. He's really listened to my desires for how I want our home/family life & pitching in. It's been so much better.
2. DD3 cried at preschool drop off today (day 2) but apparently quickly joined in & had a really good day at school. She growing up so fast!
1) DD2 (8 months today!) slept all the way until 3:30 last night. She hasn't done that since she was 3 months old. Huge accomplishment!
2) The two of them have been playing nicely together. Last night before dinner we let DD2 roam around the backyard with DD1 (3yo), I've never seen the baby so happy! And dirty, but I'll try to get past that.
And number 3 since I'm an AW! Tomorrow night I'm going out and DH is handling bedtime all by himself! Yay!!!!

We've done watermelon, blueberries, grapes (cut up), nectarines, bananas, wheat bread, mac n cheese, pizza, cheese (fontina, cheddar, jack, mozzarella), nitrate free pastrami, scrambled egg, chicken, tri tip. I'm steaming up some veggies now to try those this week. J has been low on the weight scale since birth so at his 9m appt we were given the all clear to basically give him whatever, although the pedi made a point to say that it should be the high calorie version whenever possible. So, if we're eating pasta, he should have mac n cheese or alfredo sauce, that kind of stuff.
1. My old bosses gave us their tickets for the preseason Ravens game tonight. We are going to take DS. I'm so excited - bc the tickets were free , if he only lasts 45 minutes, no big deal.
2. He does so well at daycare, it makes me feel so much better. The one teacher has such a crush on him, it's adorable.
1. DD's speech ios finally starting to develop and she talks all the time. She's also really proud of herself and happy to be able to express herself. 2. We leave for our Disney Cruise in a week and a half and she's so excited to meet the charcaters and have fun with Mommy and Daddy.

1. I've been having morning sickness very evening. Tonight was particularly bad. DD, almost 3, rubbed my belly, gave it a kiss, and declared me all better. She doesn't know I'm pg, just that I had a tummy ache.
2. For the first time in weeks, I didn't leave work feeling so overwhelmed that I wanted to cry. And I don't have ANY meetings tomorrow. NMMMR, but still good!

1. DS is so much fun to play wit lately: creative, curious, just wonderful. 2. I go back to work Monday after 14 mos off...I'm sad my leave is over but feel so lucky to have had such a long leave and know my kids will be happy in daycare and I am lucky to be able to have a fulfilling career.
I decided to wait an extra half an hour to put DS to bed at 9:30 since he's been resisting 9am lately. Great decision, he drifted off in no time flat now I'm eating blueberries and cream
