Friday Randoms

I have made three new friends in the past two weeks and they are all named David. They are all from the same social group, too. It is becoming quite confusing. 
(I realize that learning their last names would alleviate this issue but I am horrible with names. )

Facebook friend them. That's how I learned the names of the majority of people I met in college.

I woke up with a terrible headache and it's not going away. To make things even better, I have to work until around 8 tonight, be up to run a 5k at 8am tomorrow, then rush to get showered and ready for another event on campus at 10. Happy Homecoming...not.

LOL, I asked about that and none of them have FB because it is for the oldz. Well, one does but it's his work account (I added it anyway). Youths!

I have a co-worker continuously refer to me as a millennial and I should know all about the stuff millennials know about. (He's an old.)I told him time and time again that I am not one and I am not a techy person. Finally, yesterday I said, "You keep saying that, but I am not a millennial." He replied, "Close enough." Turns out, he thought I was 28, not 38. He was actually kinda floored when I reveled my real age. Next day, I had another co-worker tell me they too thought I was 28.

I had to cancel my mole check today and go to urgent care instead because I woke up with fucking pink eye to go along with my upper respiratory infection. Good times.

That sucks! Hope you feel better!  I've heard colds can trigger Pink Eye

My vacation time in May was spent taking care of DH with his cold and pink eye.... :?

UT's mascot, Bevo, died this week which is pretty sad. He wasn't really that old for a steer, but he had cancer.

I've been crazy busy this month, and tonight I'm getting the house prepared for my sister's bridal shower that I'm hosting tomorrow. Then when that's over, I am high-tailing it to a music festival where my H and friends will already be... I'm hoping everyone leaves the bridal shower quickly and I don't have to be rude and kick people out, though my mom did offer to stay and lock up the house if that happens.

Oh, and I specifically put "LADIES LUNCH" on the invitation to note that it is not co-ed and only women were expected. Then my Aunt calls and said she's bringing the two boys she's raising (her grandaughter is the mom, she's currently in jail) and asked if that's okay... I had to say yes, because she can't even come to the wedding and this is her only chance to see my sister before the big day, but I have no idea what I'm going to do with 2 boys under 10 at my house and told her to bring them some video games or a movie that I can put on in the other room for them. I hope they like dogs and they can just throw the ball around the back yard while we are doing the bridal shower festivities.

Or refer to them collectively as 'The Daves' and don't let them exist as individuals in your mind.
