H's employer is saying they need a letter stating that he is eligible to be on my health plan as of the start date of my new job to drop our coverage through his employer.
My HR directed me to our benefits administrator, who said they have nothing but my benefits summary page from the online portal, which shows neither my start date or name.
This can't be that difficult, right? Any ideas how to get someone to give me something?

I would just tell them what you need, don't ask if they have it. And then be persistent, lol. Whenever someone tells me that 'this is all I have' I just say 'well, this is what I need and I need it by X" Never fails me.
Most plans are required to provide you with certain information. You most likely need to enroll your H within 30 days of him becoming eligible for your plan, so they need to get you some info. You are entitled to see an SPD and other information.
Do they have a copy of your insurance enrollment form? What about that plus a letter from HR with your start date. Otherwise I would just request a letter with the needed information from your benefits administrator. It shouldn't take them that long to write that.

I'm sorry they are being so difficult. Can you just request that they type something up on the company letter head for you? I mean, really, it should take them all of 2 minutes.
