Ummm, you're pregnant? Lol, I've felt that way many times while pregnant too. Are you getting enough fiber? Your digestive system slows down, so that's what causes those pains. I've been eating fiber one bars to keep things moving along.
Well, I've been eating lots of fruits and vegetables. And pooping like normal. (Well, maybe not like NORMAL, but like pregnant normal, around once or twice a day usually.) But yesterday and today this pain has been there. And it's not just like, "ow, that kind of bothers me." kind of pain, it's really painful! I was hoping that this wasn't just pregnancy related, and that there was something else that could be causing it.
Could it be round ligament pain? I felt that a lot during the 2nd trimester.
I dont think I really understand the idea of round ligament pain. I have heard of it, but is it mostly in your stomach b/c it's stretching? I don't really think that's what I'm experiencing, but it's possible. Anything is possible at this point.

For me it started close to where I get period cramps. As I got further along, the pain got more intense and I started feeling it higher on my belly and sides. It felt like a sharp cramp or side stitch and sometimes lasted a few minutes.
Anyway, if that's not what it is, it's something else to look forward to! lol

I get full really easily now and it HURTS! But, I would guess it's probably RLP and just general stretching. Don't forget your organs are moving around too-Your stomach will basically flip on it's side. Pregnancy is neat.
It sounds like you just might be bloated and the gas is stuck or something. My experience with ligament pain is that it's more like twinges of muscle pain, not like a stomach ache. Take a gas-x or maybe even Zantac, that may help.
Yes, gas can be extremely painful. I've had horrible gas since my c-section. A rocking chair or glider helps move things along, as well as Gas-X like cleo said.
So I am exactly 19 weeks and 5 days pregnant too (due Jan 12). I just spent Monday night all night in the ER because i was having extreme stomach pains. It was mostly in the upper area just under my ribs but would occasionally just be all over aching.
After ruling out appendicitis, gall stones and the like, they sent me home with a medicine called protonix and they think I have GERD. Basically hyper acidity in the upper GI tract (my simple explanation). I now have to make sure that I only eat very simple foods such as bread, rice, bananas and apple sauce. There is more on the list but those were the basics. Yesterday, I varied from the approved list and ate half an avocado with a tiny bit of balsamic and ended up with a stomach ache again last night. I was told that anything high in fat can trigger it too.
My stomach aches started off and on about a week and a half ago and Monday night was sooo painful that the on call doctor told me to go to the ER after Zantac and tums were not working. For the record, I have never had heartburn or any other issues with food or acid before.
I would call your doctor and let him know how you are feeling and see what he says. Tummy aches are no fun! I hope you feel better soon.
