Ugh @starry that sucks on your husband's part. I hope that article turns him around. Men are the worst sometimes. My husband is STILL holding that against me all these years later, if you can believe it. It's one of his #1 reasons why we shouldn't have another baby (makes wife crazy). I told him that it's normal and to be expected but he either doesn't listen or doesn't care.

First night on her back was OK. She went 4 hours, then up for an hour and down for 2 more. She woke up really congested though so I might have to go back to a slant for a couple of nights until she's really over her cold.
So she lost 11.8% based on birth weight and 9.8% based on the nursery adjusted weight so I'm calling it good on the two one ounce supplements.
She is nursing great now!
Oh good! We had to supplement in the first week before my milk came in. Those first few days were horrible, poor baby cried so much. I almost wish we supplemented sooner. Once we gave her a few ounces, she was happy and finally slept. Once my milk came in we didn't need it anymore.
Wake up #2 here. She's feeding from the side with the clogged duct and it feels good to have her feed. I can not for the life of me get that clog fully drained and I don't know wtf else to try. I've done massage in the shower, heat and massage before feeding, after feeding, and don't know what else to do. It's been clogged for like 5-6 days and I'm over it!
Oh that sucks! The only thing that really works for me is picking out the clog in the shower. I start by massaging the hard area toward the nipple to move the clog forward. I've used a wide tooth comb which surprisingly didn't hurt and I think helps push it forward. Then neutrally I can usually find a tiny white dot on my nipple. I basically squeeze the nipple to keep no of push it out while also pricing at it with my finger. Eventually it pops out and all the backed up milk comes out too. It is so satisfying when I finally get it out, but the stubborn ones are so frustrating. I've als had one going on 4 days now and it is pissing me off.
The he otehr thing people swear by is dangle feeding. You basically put baby on her back, point her chin toward the clog and hang over her to feed. I could never do it when DD was little, it was too hard to latch her on. I just tried it with her and was able to feed her well, but not sure she got the clog. I put her on a pillow on the bed with her head near the edge and lthe and over her. My clog is on the top of my boob so I pretty much need her upside down to get her chin pointed towards it.
Wake up #2. Oh wait no, we are on #3. Did anyone else have sleep issues after two month shots? I'm wondering if her shit sleep could be from that.
Yes! L had been sleeping long chunks and after the 2 month shots went back to more wake ups for several days (a week?). He eventually went back to his normal though.
I just want to commiserate with noodleoo because I was up every hour last night with DD and discovered early this morning that I have a milk blister and clogged ducts both on my right boob. I didn't even know this was a thing! I've been trying heat, hot shower, pumping, massage and compression, nothing was coming out.
Just nursed and I think something must have finally come out since she's OK and napping now, but omfg I wanted to scream in pain.

Oh, I'm sorry! I hope they clear up soon. I don't know what to do about the milk blister. I made an appt with an LC but the earliest one the have is 1.5 weeks out. Sigh. Hopefully it will go away on its own. I'm doing Epsom salt soaks, but man it hurts to nurse.
I think ink I cleared my plug with the dangle feed! Knock on wood!
