Anyone have these? We are looking to get our 6 year old one. He loves star wars and the Disney seems more age for him, but he keeps begging for the Lego one. I worry the Lego parts would just end up mixed into our giant lego totes.
Anyone know how the game play is on both? I want something that moves the game along, sorta like street fighter. With easy controls. He has a Wii scooby doo game and loves it.
I was thinking of posting a similar question here lol. I'm going back and forth between Skylanders and Disney Infinity. I'm probably going to get Skylanders as my kids have no interest in Star Wars and I think the Skylanders stuff is slightly cheaper, maybe:/ Sorry I'm no help here.

Skylanders is OK, and it seems they build their systems so the figures are backwards compatible. I bought Swap Force when Target had the 75% off coupon, so for $10 I got the game, base, and some figures. It's ok, the kids enjoy it every now & then. However, we have Disney Infinity 2.0 and 3.0 and almost every playset and figure available. We love it so much - my 3 year old son and I have beat every playset so far, and are working back through the gameplay to finish missions with 3 stars. I decided not to get the Lego Dimensions because I enjoy Marvel & Star Wars, and Disney likely won't release those to Lego anytime soon since they're competing with the gaming market. Lego seems a smash up of odd stuff - Scooby Doo, Back to the Future, DC - stuff my kids aren't as in to - and I'm not into Lego messes.
DH and DD love it while I'm more meh on it, and it's usually the other way around with us. The storyline is too jumbled for me, but I haven't played as much as the other two have. The "worlds" are mostly all ones DD knows, and the ones she doesn't, DH does and he's excited to play those and explain it, like Back to the Future and Portal.
It is too difficult for 6yo DD to play on her own though.
Oh, and we're a huge Lego house in general, so DD loves that we get to physically build the pieces and we get minifigs.
I've just been crossing my fingers and sending good vibes for HP Lego to be released for backwards compatibility. I miss it like woah.
