but I need help in figuring out what size to get for DD for her fall clothes. She's in two different sizes as far as weight and height. She is 25.5 lbs so that puts her in 18 months but she is 33.5 inches tall and that puts her at the tail end of 24 months. I'd probably need to get 2T so she can grow into them but the weight for 2T starts at 29 lbs. Seeing as how she has gained about 2lbs in 4 months I think it will be awhile till she is at 29lbs. The clothes are OshKosh and Carters if that makes a difference.
What would you do?
*I clearly know this is stupid but I'm stressing out over it lol.
I usually end up buying dresses and shirts for DD in one size, and leggings and skirts in the next size down. She needs the length of the bigger size, but the waistbands are too big for her, hence the size down for bottoms. We rarely bother with pants at this point, since finding a pair long enough that doesn't fall down is next to impossible.
DD is 21lbs (she's a peanut) I bought all 18 month shirts for the fall because she has really long arms. I bought mostly 12 months leggings because the 18 month jeans fall off her, and the 12 month are too short. I did buy a few 18 month jeans and put a quick tuck in the back. That was all Osh Kosh clothes.
Get the 2T. A lot of the 2t pants like jeans, have adjustable waist bands, but the 24 month pants do not. I also found 2t to be cut a little slimmer than 24 month clothes. Natalie hasn't ever been in the weight range for clothes, but she needs it for height. Between the adjustable waists, and leggings (which are obviously cut really slim), she's had plenty to wear. Shirts won't likely be an issue, and if they are, just throw a onesie under them when it is cooler.
