We're (H is coming with me) staying downtown not far from the Museum of Contemporary Art. I'll have evenings free Wednesday - Friday, then we have all day Saturday to explore.

What are some must-see places we should go?

Best deep dish pizza in town?

Other eateries that we have to try?

I'm so excited to see a new city!

If the weather is good, I highly recommend an architectural boat tour. You can get them pretty much any time from Navy Pier. The Field Museum is also very cool (although if I were going to go to only one museum, it would be the Art Institute).

I also recommend having a drink at the Signature Room on the 95th floor of the Hancock building. The cocktails are pricey, but unlike the Sears (Willis) tower and the Hancock Observation deck, there's no charge just to up there (just whatever you order). Also, if you do go there, go to the ladies' room--oddly enough, I think the best view is from there!

The Lincoln Park Zoo is nice (and free!), and they have some red panda cubs that just made their public debut.

Gino's East is my personal favorite for Chicago style pizza.

I'm excited for you!! Chicago is great; I REALLY want to go back. Because of XH (!!, first time I've written that), I had a less than great time there, but I loved the city!

Also, it was the first time I met lizardesque, and I was a distracted hot mess. I still feel bad about it! Sorry, Liz!!
