Wake up #1. I nursed her back to sleep but she wouldn't wake up to nurse on the other side, so now I'm pumping. Annoying. But hopefully she stays asleep for awhile. First stretch was a key 6.5 hours!
Wakeup #2, after only 85 minutes. At least the first stretch was 4.5 hours, I really needed that after last night's 6 wakeups. I think she would have been fine, too, if she could remember how to roll from her tummy to her side or back. Instead she just gets stuck on her tummy and frustrated.
We moved up bedtime from 8 to 7 because of the last 3 days and because DD is a terrible napper. This in addition to weaning the swaddle - doing sleep sack with armholes sewn closed to start.
Oh, and yesterday we tried a sleeper with inside out sleeves... And she managed to find her way into the sleeves and put them right side out. This girl...
The beginning of the evening today was awful, lots of crying and screaming. Once she settled after a few times of me going in to rock/give pacifier, she slept from 8:30-12:30 which was pretty good I think! I just nursed her and put her back and she seems good, no stirring. Yay!
Well, I spoke too soon. DD was up again not even an hour later. Nursed her again. Seems good.
My MIL and BIL just got here 30 min ago, drove after she got off work, and visiting for the weekend. Luckily they came while I was sleeping, so they're with DH in the basement talking.
Hoping DD stays down awhile, I need sleep. Otherwise if she's up before 3 I'm throwing in the towel and co-sleeping tonight.
Wakeup #1 but with both girls. DD1 woke up crying and feverish. She sounds like she might have croup, which we got an email about earlier this week from day care. All of the commotion woke DD2 so I'm feeding her. DH got the humidifier set up and is lying with DD1 to make sure her breathing is okay. DD2 has been hoarse-sounding all week but not a single cough so I hope she doesn't get it. WTF man. She was out last Friday because of pink eye. I have two meetings this afternoon that I have to go to. DH is WFH but has a bunch of things to do, including going to the dr for himself.
Wakeup #1 here. She had a particularly long witching "hour" tonight but finally fed at 9:30 and zonked on my chest around 10. I fell asleep with her there till DH came up around 11:30 then a plopped her in the bassinet and she stayed there until 3!! That's about 5 hours in one stretch! I think I will take a terrible witching hour for this.
Here's hoping she goes back down easily and isn't awake now due to the good stretch of sleep!
Wake up 2. I thought she pooped so I changed her diaper. Nope. She just has stinky pee! Oh well. Nursing on the other side now and then back to bed. Turning the monitor odd after this so I can sleep for at least 3 hours, I hope.
We had a weird night tonight. Went to a friends to watch football, so bedtime was off for all the kids. DD ate at 530pm, fell asleep in my arms around 630pm and stayed that way until we left at 830. Woke up a bit when I transfered her to the car seat, but fell asleep on the way home. Got home, put the big kids to bed and then got her out of the car seat. Changed her diaper, swaddled and nursed and she was back asleep by 930pm. Thought that might act as a "dream feed" and buy me a longer stretch, but nope. We are up at 1245am. So I'm feeding her now and just hoping the rest of the night goes like normal.
Plus, she got her shots yesterday, so that could be adding to the craziness.
Wakeup #3, after 2.5 hours, which is better than last time's barely 1.5 hours. Today we're telling MIL that we're putting dd in daycare. She currently watches her while I work part time. She's not going to be happy, we're dreading it. Hopefully dh sticks to the plan of not giving any reasons why we're doing this, just that we feel it will be better for everyone.
I've been up since 3:30 for no good reason. Had to pee and now I'm thinking about work. DS is stirring and my alarm goes off in 45 minutes. Today has barely started and it's already a crappy end to a crappy week.
Small victory. Made it to 3:30 before waking up again. Fed her again, and although I've been skipping diaper changes overnight I thought I should. Glad I did... That thing was probably a pound! Just wet though, luckily. Nursed a few minutes after and put her in crib. Fingers crossed to make it to 5:30-6 this time!
Fml DS requires so much work to get back to sleep after waking. DH gave up after third wakes and is now inthe couch downstairs. Pedi today said ds2 has either food allergies or colic. Awesome.
DS is just now getting to bed. It's his normal bedtime. We've been trying (not very successfully) to move his bedtime back by small increments to get ready for daylight savings. The fall back one is a MAJOR PITA for our household.
I fear for this DST. I imagine Mr. 4:30 will end up being Mr. 3:30 and I can't handle that!

Big hugs. Fwiw, DS was super hard to get back to sleep for the first several weeks, and the pedi was very concerned about it. He does have food intolerances, and we're thinking we've still missed at least one now (blood in stool recently), but he did get faster at going back to sleep. Hopefully your DS does the same.
Wakeup #2 here. It's 7:20. So we got a 3:10 wakeup and now we are up for the day. I feel fantastic. If two hours of screaming before bed means this then sign me up!
Wake up #2 at 430am. After changing her and reswaddling, I couldn't get her to eat on the other side, she was just falling asleep on the boppy with her face next to my boob, lol. So I just transferred her. Hopefully she sleeps for another 2 hours now to bring us to morning.
