Did you see either one of these? I liked both these movies, but preferred Bridge of Spies. The subject matter was fascinating; I wouldn't mind seeing a few miniseries. I know there are a few Jobs documentaries on Netflix.

I saw Bridge of Spies. I thought it was really well-done, and a really kind of unique story. The setting of a spy drama, but really about the diplomacy. It reminded me of Argo with a little bit of Mr. Smith Goes to Washington kind of feel. DH saw Steve Jobs and really liked it. I wonder if that'll get screenplay because Sorkin.

I could see Steve Jobs getting screenplay because of Sorkin; I'd say Spotlight and Steve Jobs are leading for the screenplay categories. Kate Winslet, Mark Rylance, and Michael Fassbender will probably be nominated.
"Steve Jobs" and "Bridge of Spies" might ultimately be too cold for the Academy to embrace. I'd have to say Spotlight for pic and director at this time, though I have heard that Ridley Scott is very popular.
For acting---best guesses would be Mara, Larson or J. Law, Leo, and Ruffalo. I've read that Ruffalo is the standout in Spotlight. All the new blood in Best Actress is very heartening. It'd be great to have a lineup of Blanchett, Lawrence, Larson, Ronan, and Mulligan.
I want "Brooklyn" to have a huge showing (love the novel) but doubt it will.

Steve Jobs and Bridge of Spies appealed to the history buff in me. I wish they had a companion miniseries. I know there are two Steve Jobs docs on Netflix.

Steve Jobs is a flop and just got dumped from theaters. It made a mere 16 million, barely outdistancing the Ashton Kutcher Jobs movie.
I can't see Fassbender winning Best Actor for this. Sorkin may get screenplay, but now I doubt it. There are a few really good alternatives in adapted, like Brooklyn. (now that I think about it, adapted is a pretty weak field)
