Quick Intro

Hi! Just wanted to introduce myself. I was mostly a lurker on TN, but occasional poster on NBC. My Nest sn was Christy_Daisy's_Mom. I was hoping to find a "home board" here, and think I've found it. Hope you'll have me!

Quick summary of me: I'm married, no kids, one dog. I love to read, garden and craft (when I have time). I have a (mostly cooking) blog. I'm trying to learn to sew. I've lived in Ohio all my life. Planning a trip to San Francisco and Napa Valley in the fall.

I can't access the boards during the day when I'm at work.
But in January 2013 I will be working from home, so I am looking forward to having access to my laptop and the boards then! For now, I'm stuck with weekends and weeknights.

Welcome... idk what kind of phone you have but the proboards app on android & iphone is really good...

Thanks! I know some of the boards are kind of cliquish when it comes to new members, but I didn't get that vibe here.

I'm too embarrassed to even admit to you how old the phone I have is... but once I move to work-at-home I plan to get a new phone (so I can keep in touch with my coworkers during the day without the company monitoring us!). But good to know about the app for when the times comes that I'd actually be able to use it!

Well right now the book board is kind of new because a lot of the nest book club people stayed on the nest. So a lot of people posting on here are new or were lurkers. So I think we are all still kind of in the same boat as you, trying to get used to this and get to know each other! So you have very good timing!

Yes this will be our first SF trip. Actually, this is my first trip west of Ohio other than our HM In Hawaii. So I'm really excited! We have our hotel/B&B (Napa) booked and have a general idea of what we want to do/see there, but if you have any recs, I'd love to hear them! Esp where to eat without breaking the bank.

Thanks! The last book I finished reading was Insurgent. Before that- The Shoemaker's Wife. Right now I'm reading Lucia, Lucia. I set a goal of 25 books for this year, and Lucia, Lucia is #15 so I'm ahead of schedule to meet that goal. Maybe I'll hit 30 this year!
