I just got this e-mail from her: Just saw a segment on TV. Soak a new pair of tights in water, put in plastic bag, squeeze air out and put in freezer for a day. Be sure to thaw before wearing!
Of course, there was no explanation of why one would do this. I googled it, and I guess it's supposed to make them last longer. It's pretty funny that she didn't include that info, as if one might just do this, you know, for fun.

Oh, I just saw someone post about this on FB... supposedly it strengthens the fibers so that they won't run or tear as easily. Although I do think you wring out the water before you put it in the bag so they are just wet, not actually in a bag full of water.
I haven't tried it, but since I was going to get some nude panty-hose tights to wear for my sister's wedding later in the month I might do this freezing method to see if it helps.
