I am curious. Where is your most productive work space?
Mr. P works from home, so he occupies our office space. It's kind of in a large open walkway area so not ideal to close yourself off. I have a desk, but it's too small for long term use and I only really sit there to pay bills or print something.
In past years, I've hid in a back guest bedroom, especially if H has a busy on the phone day. Most times his work is via text and email.
We just refinished our porch, screened it in, new sofa, new table. Only issue, it's still hot outside and for the last week, very humid. Is it sad that I can't wait to put on socks, a long sleeve shirt and pants probably and write out there. Come on cooler weather.

There was a Starbucks by the place I lived at for a few NaNos, where I did some write ins with a group. Eventually it became the place I wrote with a friend I made in 2011. I'm now hours away, but I associate peppermint hot chocolates and Starbucks with writing in general, so I find I'm productive there. The city I'm at now only has two, one in a bookstore and one on campus, but I'm hoping to be able to get some writing time in at one of those places anyway. I'll probably go in if I'm struggling.
Other than that, I sit at my desk to write. Typically in the evenings or into the night, for whatever reason.
I'm usually most productive when I get out of my house -- there's a Panera just down the street from our apartment, not to mention a couple Starbucks and other coffee shops not much further away. But I work from home right now, and getting out of the house to write means I have to put on real clothes...so often it just doesn't happen, so I end up laying on the living room floor instead and writing from there.
I like the quiet room at my library. It's handy because I need some reference books for my novel (it's got norse mythology overtones) and I can't check out those, but I can bring them into the quiet room. And, unlike Starbucks, I feel Ok about leaving my stuff while I go out to pee.
I do really well at coffee shops with my ear buds in and no connectivity to the internet If I need to do quick research break I use my phone. I also follow NaNoWordSprints that way on twitter. At home, we have a two story house so I go up to our bedroom, shut the doors and sit in bed. Then the dogs and kid can't/don't follow me. Though one dog does scratch at the door sometimes...
I'm far more productive in a coffee shop than I am at home, but I still usually write while curled up in my favorite armchair in our living room after the kids are in bed.
I'm sitting in a coffee shop right now with classical music blaring in my headphones and I'm in heaven. LOL. But I rarely get this because H works evenings, so I'm usually writing on the couch after everyone is in bed.
