Random question for you. How much would you be willing to pay for a over 200 trains, lots of tracks, a train table, and other misc things like round houses and sheds? Everything looks to be in good condition from the pictures.
A CL seller is asking $300. I missed out on a slightly smaller lot the other day for $125, so I'm kicking myself.

Depends on the condition but if it's in good condition and I was selling our stuff - I'd want at least $150. We just have a train table w/ tracks and probably 30 trains. Over 200 pieces is a lot! I'd say $200.
Is the train table also Thomas? They are very expensive. I got a great one really cheap and it IS better than other tables. I've seen someone asking 350 for that amount of stuff in excellent condition without the train table. Also see if the buildings and everything are wood.

It looks like there is a mix of wood and plastic tracks/trains/pieces. The buildings all look plastic though.
It seems like a great deal, but I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on $300 for a used toy! I think I'll go with $250 and see what they say. The trains alone are around $10 a piece new, so there is literally probably thousands of dollars worth of stuff (new).

Well, honestly, I've probably easily spent $200 buying the individual trains at $15 bucks a pop or whatever. BUT, I think DS is already getting out of this Thomas phase. He went to superheroes for awhile, and now all of a sudden yesterday all he can talk about is Chuggington, which I don't know how he even knows about that one. I don't know that I'd get a bonanza of train stuff unless I had quite a few kids who might get use out of it. I mean, what is your kid going to do with 200 trains?
I wouldn't offer over $200 personally. Part of the fun is collecting the new pieces over time and getting it all at once is overwhelming. Also, the plastic ones are crap and since they don't mix and match, you're really only going to get use out of half of what you buy then.
We were gifted a huge train collection (the other big wooden brand, not thomas) by the sellers of our house and an imaginarium table.

Where were you guys earlier?
I bought if for $250. It is an insane amount of stuff. My 3 year old spent most of the afternoon walking around the house in awe. I think I'm going to re-sell quite a bit of it because there's no way he can ever use that many trains or tracks. It didn't seem excessive until it was in my living room...

That is an awesome price for that - and you never know, kids can use more track and trains than you could think possible. We had dh's cousin (who is very young) give us all his trains, like 100+, all metal, for free, and ds uses all of them.
I would pay someone $300 for my house NOT to be cluttered up with 200 separate trains.
lol, seriously.
We got the Imaginarium train table for DS last year. He was into Thomas at the time so we got him a couple of the Thomas character trains to go with it. Here's a picture of it from Toys R Us:
It's $150 so it's about half of what you're looking at with the other train set. If you think he won't mind that the table itself isn't from the Thomas universe, I'd go with this one and then add on.
I'm actually glad we didn't spend more for the Thomas stuff because now the boys vastly prefer the Chuggington trains, which are also $12-15 a pop
