Hi I usually don't post on this board but was hoping you could offer some suggestions. My 15 yr old Westie is constantly peeing in our dining room. I took her to the vet two weeks ago and they ran some tests and said she has early renal disease. There isn't any infection or anything. I WFH so I try to let her out frequently but she still does it. We are constantly steam cleaning the carpet and using natures miracle on it. DH keeps freaking out and says the house smells like dog piss. Should I try dog diapers on her or pee pads or something else? Help!
Is she drinking more? I could see renal disease if she's drinking more, therefore peeing more. Is she full out peeing or leaking? Some old girls have hormone issues and using a medication like Proin will help.
I have a 13 year old Yorkie who pees in the house. The best thing I've found is bellybands.net. I put a maxi pad on it and change it as needed. I have 2 so I can wash one while he wears the other one.
Bellybands work well for most male dogs, but, they really don't fit a female's anatomy well, IME. I would talk to the vet about medications that may help, see if dog diapers work for her you/her- and keep her out of the dining room with gates/doors/something.
We used a belly band with disposable diapers on our lab when he started peeing himself in his sleep. Belly bands don't work on females but you could try bitches britches. They are usually used for when females are in heat but also for incontinence. The only warning I have is to make sure you check it regularly. Our lab started getting a rash from laying in his urine before we went to the belly band (he would pee in his sleep and had some neurological damage so he didn't even realize) so we used a bit of diaper rash cream on his belly.

Belly bands don't work on female dogs.
Is she incontinent? Like, do you find pee on her bed after she gets up? We fostered a dog like this. She was left incontinent after an aggressive rond of UTIs. Proin worked like a charm. Maybe ask the vet about it?
