It's so cool to have quite a few people making it to/past the first week this year! 

I'm up to 12,079 for tonight. My sister and 2 nephews are in town so that's made it literally impossible to go above and beyond. I'm just hoping I can get anything in tomorrow and Monday, both super busy days.

I'm a bit behind where I wanted to be honestly due to some dental work Wednesday that knocked me on my butt and then adding a migraine to that Thursday.

I just had an implant done a few weeks ago and it hit me WAY worse than I thought it would. Feel better, dental stuff SUCKS.

That's VERY impressive! What allowed you to get the words flowing like this? Plotting? Character charts? Tons of research done beforehand?  

Two years ago my story flowed SO easily and I was easily putting in 4-5k words most days, but this year it feels like I'm having to work at it much more than the past.

I have 12002 as of this morning, which is quite bit less than I'd like, especially since my parents are going to be in town for Thanksgiving and I know I won't be able to write much when they're here. I think I'm going to kick the boys and H out of the house this afternoon (they need to do some yardwork anyway) and hole up with my laptop for a few hours.

I did surprisingly little plotting this year, since time ran away with me and I realized it was almost November a week beforehand.  I've been sticking to the same universe for a long time now and I've worked on this particular story three times before (NaNo '11 & '12 and Camp '13).  I really want to get it done but it's turning out that I have a lot more to go than I expected.  I have been doing word crawls and am also very motivated by "I'm almost at x500 words" and "I almost wrote x000 words today" which tends to spiral.

Plus, I don't have kids like most others on here.  I'm sure that helps a lot!
