I just felt hiccups for the first time. Down by my pelvis too, so I'm guessing she's head-down. I know she can move around plenty in the next 6 weeks, but I'd like head-down to be her favorite position, so she's more inclined to settle into that.
Also, the office cleaning lady, who is the master of saying the wrong thing to me about pregnancy, just called me pudgy.
Oh, what did they feel like? I've been curious to see if I feel them, but so far it's just been the usual stretches and stomping on my bladder.
Also, a huge WTF to the cleaning lady. You look gorgeous in all the HDBD photos!
They felt like a steady popping feeling, almost rhythmic. All in a row, rather than randomly spread out like kicks can be.

It never ok to tell someone they are pudgy :/ You look great, ignore her!
Trying for #3; FET 8/18 -- BFN. Leaving things up to chance for now... After three years, three IVFs, and two FETs, we finally have our miracle babIES!

It was very small movements, over and over, in the same place. I was wondering how I'd differentiate them from other movements, but it seemed pretty obvious. Unlike BH contractions, which I can't figure out if I'm feeling or not.
I'm totally not disturbed by the pudgy comment. She means it as a compliment. For her, "you look pudgy" = "your baby bump is showing." It just makes me roll my eyes because she also was the first person to rub my belly, she gives me ridiculous pregnancy advice, and she asked me how I'm feeling every damn day.
Hi again ladies…I’m dipping my toe in the graduate pool once again (I had a BFP in May’15, mm/c in June, and D&C in July) – I’ve been reluctant to join until my first u/s on 11/24, but I figured that not acknowledging this pregnancy isn’t going to make the pain any less if I get bad news again, so I figured I might as well say “hi”.
And, ask a quick question – I’m only 5w5d, but my appetite is OUT.OF.CONTROL – I am constantly starving, it seems like 15minutes after I eat something I’m hungry again – I’m trying to drink plenty of water, eat foods high in protein(string cheese, peanut butter on an apple, cottage cheese), but I’m still hungry – stomach is growling. Is there something else I can try or something you’ve eaten that helps? I don’t remember this in my previous 2 pregnancies. Thanks & please keep your fingers crossed that I’m here for good
Congrats whodey!! So happy to see you here again I was the same way and just tried to focus on healthier filling foods. Greek yogurt was a go-to for me. Also, bananas with PB, almonds, and crackers. I'm a long time sparkling water addict, and find it more satiating than plain water so maybe that's an option. I also had success chewing gum and eating jolly ranchers when the nausea set in and eating was the only thing that helped.
whodey I went through that stage and it lasted until a little past 6 weeks. Then extreme food aversions and nausea set in, so I vote eat while you can!

whodey, I'm glad to see you here. This is the perfect board for that in-between phase when you don't feel confident. People here understand that all too well.
We are supposed to go over to a friend's house tonight for dinner and games. I had this big plan of buying a bottle of non-alcoholic wine and pouring it into an empty bottle of Two Buck Chuck, so it still looked like I was drinking. Just got a text from my friend: "no need to bring anything--we've got tons of wine!" Crap. PLAN FOILED.

Went into the perinatology center today. It still doesn't feel real. I really liked the dr we met with. We have a 50% chance of losing one or more babies until about 12 weeks. Next appt in that office is 11 weeks. I need to schedule with my regular OB, though.

I'm so glad you liked your doctor! That's a scary statistic, I hope everything works out exactly how you want it to.

Oh man, I am finally catching up from this week so sorry to everyone getting notifications.
swiftlyirun I never realized how much I was holding my breath until I hit viability. Now I feel so behind lol. It's really exciting to get to that point, so happy for you!
tarajane - Oh my goodness, congratulations! That's a scary statistic but keeping my FX for all of you.
AFM, I am counting down until the week of Thanksgiving. Until then, I have all 3 baby showers, a late night work event, am going to the theater for a girls night, a formal awards ceremony honoring my FIL, and a friend is in town and staying a couple nights with us. I am so glad I passed on hosting Thanksgiving this year. Somehow in all of that, I'm still working and found out recently that my boss' wife who I was training to cover for my maternity leave has decided she doesn't want to work full-time so we are now hiring someone. DH is painting the nursery while I'm at my shower tomorrow so we'll move all the furniture up there next week and I can start washing all our hand me downs and getting them put away. I also started a bedtime routine which seems to maybe help settle the baby down and I've been getting better sleep. It could just be helping me settle down but either way I'm actually feeling rested.

I had my appointment with the diabetes nurse this morning. I'm supposed to start checking my blood sugar tomorrow, but I took tonight's after dinner and it was 106! I feel like a weight has been lifted; I hope I continue to see good numbers. If 80% of them are within range over the next week, I'll only have to do two readings every other day.
