I have just over 200 words written today. BLAH. I don't feel like writing today. How do you push through those days where you just don't feel like writing? My little is asleep and my H is working, so I have the house to myself, so I SHOULD want to write but all I want to do is sit and watch netflix instead. It was the same yesterday too, so I'm falling behind.
My total is just over 11k, so I'm behind. How's everyone else doing today?

I had a rough day today. I really had to push myself to get to 3601 words (which would be just over the daily WC for 100k, which I haven't decided if I'm doing or not). It was just so hard to get anything written today.
I own "No Plot, No Problem!" and have read it almost every year since 2011. The week 2 slump is notorious, but I'm surprised to see so many people with rough Day 8s in here!
I'm at 15,175. I try to push through the not wanting to write block by thinking about how nice it is to not be panicky closer to the end of the month.
We're hosting Thanksgiving and the week before that is my 30th bday and we have some plans a couple of those days so I'm trying to get as many words banked now as I can.

Personally, I fake it until I make it. And maybe turn on Netflix in the background as a compromise (I often try to find something quasi-related to what I'm writing or something not related but taht I've seen before so I'm not sucked in)
I also make myself my favorite cup of tea (my fancy black tea, extra strong, with more sugar than is good for me & a dash of milk) or, if it's after noon lol, a beer.
You could also consider skipping ahead a chapter or more. If you're bored at where you are, it might be a good way for you to get excited about it. Then, later you could fill in before.
I'm writing about people I know but a place & a topic I don't. So, I go in fits & spurts of words as sometimes I have to do some research along with my writing.

I jump ahead a lot. Most of the time when I'm in a slump, I know where I and where I want to be, but I haven't figured out how to get the story from point a to point b yet. So I just jump ahead and write point b, because usually I am excited about writing that. Sometimes just writing it out makes me realize how I want to get the story there, so then I go back and write the middle part.
I'm at 19016! Feeling pretty good about it and hoping to keep the momentum going. I have a lot of busy weekends coming up, so I'm trying to stay ahead.
I spent most of the afternoon writing and managed to bang out almost 5,000 words for a grand total of 16,913. Woot! I pushed through a tough spot in the plot too, and have a very good sense of the portion of the story I want to write tonight, so I'm also feeling pretty good about Day 9.
