Yep. You are not alone. I had a few in my early 20s. Always another look and biopsy. Did the cryotherapy. Repeat paps as needed. I haven't had issues in 10+ years since.

Yes, I had an abnormal pap this year for the first time. Depending on what the reading is, you may just need repeat paps every 6 months or so. I had to get a colposcopy and a biopsy of my cervix. The worst part of all that was the bill (thanks shitty insurance).
Yep. I have HPV and I had to have a colposcopy. It was kind of a pain, but not a big deal. I was totally anxious about it, so I get it, but I think it's fairly common.

Yes - in fact I posted something really similar about 3 years ago and was surprised how many people had been though it. No biggie. I went in for a colpo because the pap showed precancerous cells, that came back as fine. Repeat pap 6 months later; again fine. I have had 2 other paps since and both were normal. I was very anxious about the colpo and it honestly wasn't as bad as I anticipated. Just ask the doc to talk through everything so you know what to expect.

I had an abnormal one about 15 years ago ... took a biopsy, a colposcopy then paps every 6 months til clear. I was clear w/in a year. Haven't had an abnormal pap since.

Pretty much the same for me. A series of abnormal paps, then a colposcopy which showed nothing to be concerned about.
A few years later, a couple of abnormal paps, then repeat paps every 6 months. Whatever it was resolved itself, and I haven't had any abnormal paps in quite a few years.
I've had lots of abnormal PAPs, with normals in between. Four colposcopies, and had the LEEP in 2006. Since then I've had a couple of abnormal PAPs, but no colposcopies or procedures.
Don't worry, your body will likely just take care of it on its own.
