Tonight we're going out to dinner to celebrate some good news I got at work, then come home to cozy up by the fire with wine (I hope I can stay awake! I am so sleep deprived right now!)
Tomorrow I have a million errands to run and need to clean the house, then our friends from VA are coming up for dinner. We're all going to a burlesque show downtown then they're staying over at our house.
Sunday we're tailgating and going to the Ravens game.
My school is (finally!) getting serious about meeting the assessment requirements for reaccreditation and they've hired a consultant to assist with the process (side note: the fact that we still do not have an office of Institutional Research and/or Assessment is insane...but anyway). Since the consultant is only on campus like once a month, they've decided to train "coaches" for each academic department to help with writing SLOs, reporting, etc. At a meeting with my division yesterday (non-curricular, more "support" areas) the VP asked if we should also have a coach that would be more specific to the types of assessment that we do, and the directors agreed that we should. VP immediately said that I would be perfect for the job and my boss agreed and that was that. It's a stipended position and will look good on my resume when I finish grad school and hunt for jobs in IR/assessment full-time.

It's like a revolving door at my house today. I'm working from home because a contractor has been here since 7:30 to replace the door leading out to the deck and repair the subfloor (water damage from years of rain and moisture that did not drain properly and is sitting behind the siding), another contractor will be here shortly to redo S's closet (they redesigned mine a few years ago and I love it, now S wants something similar), and Safelight was just here because a rock was kicked up on the turnpike and chipped my windshield.
And I'm doing laundry and packing because we leave for Hilton Head (then on to Myrtle Beach Monday) bright and early tomorrow!
Tonight I am going out with a co-worker, who is the Exec Asst/HR Asst and knows the goods. The company is going through serious re-orgs and I'm trying to get the scoop. Plus, she's a kick-ass person that I enjoy.
Later tonight Jay and I are watching the movie Inside Out. It's in 3D and I plan to enhance it's effects
Tomorrow- Nothing planned
Sunday - a friend is coming over for breakfast then jay and I are going to another friends to watch the Pats game.
Tonight I am cleaning and putting up Christmas decorations.
Nice!! I put up my new, festive Christmas shower curtain the other day, but I *think* I am going to hold off decorating until next weekend.
I also bought these for my sister and me:
Love that! We are gone the next couple weekends, so I thought this weekend was best. I actually wasn't even going to, but this is our last Christmas in this house, so I figured, what the hell!

We have a great, but busy weekend.
Tonight: We are having dinner at my fave place with DH's friend from HS, his partner, and his partner's bro and SIL.
Saturday: DH's friend is coming for brunch at our house, and then we are off to VT to meet up with Lucas's birth mom! She had a baby girl just a few weeks after ours was born so we wanted to meet up and hold each other's babies, lol. She will also be bringing her son and her boyfriend.
Sunday: Hopefully not much. I need to get serious about packing since we leave for FL a week from Sunday. I will probably lie on the couch and watch football instead.
