I'm looking for flat, brown, leather riding boots, size 7.5. I have small calves (12") and short legs (anything taller than 14.5" hits me in the back of the knee), so I'm having trouble finding shafts small enough.
I have bought and returned these so far:
Nine West Diablo
Ralph Lauren Marion
Crown Vintage Carlee
I liked the style of all of those but they were all either too wide, too tall, or both.
Anyone have the same issues and find a pair that fits?

I also have small calves and I am short. If you are willing to spend some more $$ the following brands have smaller calf inseams - Aquatalia, La Canadienne, Ted & Muffy. I got lucky and found a bunch of Aquatalia boots at Nordstrom Rack for $100 - they typically run 450 -600, they are really good quality, most are water resistant and I think they would last longer than most brands. Amazon has some on sale as well. You can search my old posts for more info. I have also found some Frye run smaller as well.
I would recommend the blog Extra Petite as she reviews boots for smaller calfs/shorter ladies.

Thanks! I'm going to try the Ariat York that she recommends next!
I have also need boots for small calves. I have probably purchased and sent back 3-4 pairs this fall. Last year, I found some nice brown boots from the brand, Gabor at Nordstrom that fit my calves. With the magic of the internet, I was also able to find them in black in a CA shoe store.
