No but DS is at school and he's super excited to be running it. They even have shirts and everything. It'll be four laps around their track which will equal a mile. The kid hates walking so I couldn't see him wanting to run a race. But last week they did a test run of the turkey trot and he said he ran all four laps. Oh if only I had that much energy. I'll be at the Junior League's Christmas Affair shopping that day so DH might run it with him. Now I have to wonder if DH will be able to keep up with DS. Ha.
I'm running a 5 mile local Turkey Trot that I have run since 2011, it's my FAVORITE race!. This year I'm wearing a turkey costume and DH is running it with me:) I tried getting him to dress up as a pilgrim but he wouldn't go for it;)

Yes doing a local to my parents 10k and my cousin will be joining me! It's smaller and under $20. One of my girlfriends and her mom may be running the two mile portion too.

I'm thinking about doing a free 5k. I would love it if my H and I could both run it together. But we'd need to get a sitter or hope it is warm enough to bundle up the kiddos to take them in their strollers. (Brining them actually sounds fun!)
I was going to try if I was still pregnant (I'd have been 40+5 on TG) as an eviction strategy, but happily I need no such plan. I will sit the trotting out this year, since I will have a 10 day old.

I'm running The Thanksgiving Day Race (10K) for the first time. I've only run 5Ks and 4 milers so I'm kinda scared. The race was cheap-ish but I paid an extra $20 for the shirt.

I thought we were going to but I haven't gotten my act together to register yet. I'm also cooking a turkey so I have to figure out those logistics with timing. I'm tempted to just save to money and go for a trail run (or snowshoe by the sound of things) closer to home.
The race I'm doing has 17k participants. I always feel like I'm fighting for pavement for the first mile.
Holy cow. This sounds like the opposite of fun.
The local turkey trot here is only 1k people, but it is PACKED for the first half of the race.
You would think, but it is so much fun. There is a 2.5 mile option as well and people start in waves, that helps. This is the only race I've done every year since I started running.
My H is freaking out about this 10k. The farthest he's ever run was 5 miles at the beginning of my training cycle. I have no idea why he said yes when I asked him. He'll be fine but I think he's going to hate it.

He will be fine if he has your fine booty to chase :wolf howl:
I finally signed up yesterday for one very close to my house. Last year it was in my neighborhood so I could walk to the start, but this year I'll have to drive. Oh well. DH doesn't want to do it, so it's just me
I'm doing the 4 mile Trot 5 mins from my house, with my sis and BIL. It'll be my sister's first race since before she got pregnant last year so I'm definitely not racing it but it'll be fun anyway
