My work BFF has become a bit of a problem. I'll be having a meeting with an employee or coworker in my office, whether casual or formal, and she will just welcome herself in, try to involve herself in the conversation and then just hang out.
Yeah, she's welcome to come chat with me whenever, but if I have somebody in my office, please be considerate. I know this stems from her being my supervisor at one time, and because she's the type of person who has to know everything that goes on, but she hasn't been my boss for 2 years, for all intents and purposes we are on the same level now, and by March we will have the same title, so treat me with some respect please.

Whew! Had to get that out.
Is this the work friend I met when you were here, by chance?

My brother is in town (From San Diego, I'll see if he can take you with him when he goes back, @ello) so we are meeting him and my family for dinner tonight.
Other than that, nothing else special about today.
We are (finally!) interviewing for one of the positions my boss and I have been covering for months. We have the strangest assortment of applicants-- one guy has two PhDs, one in "stability of stratified fluid flows" and one in "fractal geometry". The position is an art school librarian. I have no idea WTF this guy wants the job. I am super curious to meet him, though!

Oh man. She is very sweet so I'm sure she isn't intending to step on your toes or butt-in without invitation, but hopefully she'll catch the drift and stop involving herself when she isn't needed.
I can see how it would be grating on you for it to keep happening, though.
I slept like sh!t last night because I was feeling anxious about an interview I have tomorrow.
I am up 6lbs, although my clothes all fit the same and I feel great! I am not wonder woman, so there is no way I put on 6lbs of muscle in the last few weeks. Eh, I blame beer and football.
