How's everyone doing?
We're supposed to hit 30k today but I just surpassed 1.3k. There's more family dramzzz going on and the last thing I want to do is write but I've managed to push out 1,338. I think I'm done for the night. My total is 28,118.
eta: oh I wanted to ask a question! Do you go back and read/edit during the month or do you just write and save the editing for later?
I haven't passed 1400 today either. I only had an hour to write this morning, but I'm gonna try to write for a half hour now. I had to get through some more crap and I finally go to the soulcrushing part. I now have to write my battle scenes.
I have always reread and edited in years' past, as I went, during November.
This was the first year that I just forged ahead with writing, no thought towards editing. It allowed me to cruise through the story at a much faster pace. When I start the edits, I fear I will be overwhelmed and get frustrated. We will see.

Oh, I forgot to comment on the rereading/editing thing.
I do reread a lot to remember what happened and I will edit spelling errors and minor things that need correction for story continuity, but I do not delete large sections typically (unless things REALLY change). If something big happens that needs fixing, I'll take the words and tack them onto the end delete them after validating my novel because I figure that I already typed them and they should be allowed to counted.

I finished Day 18 at 64,385. I'm just about to start today's writing. I want to get all the big stuff for this story done this month but I'm not sure if that's going to happen. (*cough* Again. *cough*)
Like fatamy I'll edit minor things but not big things. I will go back and add to a sparse scene on occasion or add in an extra chapter if I realize something should have happened before something else. If I really hate a scene I might re-write it but I'll leave the old one in. That's really rare for me though, I have probably only done that a few times in 8 NaNos & 4 Camps.
If I know I want to change something big I will just write it that way from that point forward in my story. My sister wrote the house for the group differently in the part of the story she was writing backstory for. I liked it better so in early pages I have a certain house layout, location, etc. and in the latter point it has changed. I will fix it in editing eventually, when I FINALLY finish the story.
