We have the rainforest exersaucer at home and a jumperoo at the ILs house. He used the exersaucer multiple times a day for a good 3 months and now we have it set up as an activity table. Well worth the cost. The jumperoo he runs hot and cold - sometimes he loves it, sometimes he hates it.
We have a FP ocean wonders activity table which J likes, but he LOVED the Leap Frog one that our friends had. I'm going to keep an eye out for one at our consignment sale coming up.

If I was only getting one, I'd get the jumperoo. It does everything the exersaucer does, but baby can jump as well. My kids seemed to enjoy the jumperoo more.

We only had space for one at our last house, so we opted for the rainforest jumparoo. DD LOVED it. DH and I loved putting her in it in the mornings while we had coffee. We called it the circle of neglect, lol. With kid #2, we'll probably opt for both the exersaucer and jumparoo.

We used both. DS preferred the jumperoo, DD preferred the exersaucer, but both spent some time in each one. Our exersaucer converts to a stand up toy too, which is nice for when they're learning to walk.
We had both and used/loved them equally. I especially loved bringing the exersaucer to the bathroom door while I showered & got ready, but I suppose I could've done that with the jumperoo, too.
I don't think you need both (honestly, I don't actually know what an exersaucer is.) DD loved the rainforest jumperoo. Her favorite toy now is the leap frog learning table. It's awesome. Aside from those, she loves blocks and buckets.

I think it's all about how fun the toys are. Make sure there are lots of light up things, spinny things, and music making toys :-)
The jumperoo is basically the same as an exersaucer, except it bounces too. DD adored her jumperoo. I had to force her to stop playing with it at 18 months!!!! because she still loved it.
We preferred the exersaucer, b/c the jumperoo we had took up a little bit more space (and our living room is small). Oh, and the jumperoo made really annoying noises.
I would get both if you can. They're great to have on hand for when you want to be able to put the baby down to get something done around the house.
We used the exersauser from 4-6ish months and then the jumperoo after that. The little leapster tables are good for when the baby starts pulling up and cruising.
we used both- we had an exersaucer downstairs and a jumperoo up in our offce (back when we had only one cihld and HAD an office)... then when we had the twins we had both of them downstairs- and we'd swap which we'd put them in, so they never got bored.
With DD1 we had the exersaucer and the doorway jumper. We called the exersaucer her "office". She loved twirling around and playing with the different toys. We sold the saucer before we moved and now have a jumperoo for DD2. She is not impressed. She's more mobile in general, but the lack of swivel action makes me think the exersaucer is better.
Definitely get an activity table. Once she's sitting you can put on 2 of the legs and lean it (or no legs and put it on the floor) so she can use it before she is standing.

We have both.
We have a Evenflo exersaucer that converts to a toddler play table. We used the exersaucer itself from about 5 - 11 months. I would drag it in the bathroom with me while I showered and got dressed for the day. It's now converted to the toddler table in the family room.
We used our FP Rainforest jumperoo from about 5 - 9 months. The girls both loved it but once they started getting more mobile, it must have been too restricting for them and they would cry when we tried to put them in it.
