Never been to DL (*gasp* I know!) and I need to know how to dress/pack. I'll have a 4.5 year old too. Tips would be great! I read rain boots and even snow boots on TripAdvisor. Really?
Disneyland, snow boots? I wouldn't bring snow boots depending on the average that week you'll most likely be able to wear jeans, a t-shirt and bring a jacket for the morning and the evening when it's cooler.
Based on previous experience it's generally in the low 70's high 60's around that time of year, add in the sun and you'll be warm enough during the day. Again, it's the morning or the evening when you need the jacket.
SNOW BOOTS??!! LOL no. I don't even think rain boots are necessary (although we are supposed to have a lot of rain this year, so maybe. But I have never owned rain boots)
Definitely extra shoes in case you get caught in rain.
I would also recommend layers because it can actually get warm-- these photos were the beginning of January but only a few days apart... And even the one with hats I'm sure wasn't that cold to non-Californians! Lol I mean, D has on a cotton tee...
But it does get pretty darn cool at night. My kids wear gloves and beanies at night and a blanket in the stroller.
Maybe a waterproof jacket with a hood since it's supposed to rain this year...

I go to Disneyland the second weekend of December every year. I have been rained on once (like full on downpour with 3 inches of standing water). 2 years ago it was in the mid 80s in mid december and last year I spent the weekend in flip flops, jeans and a t-shirt and tossed a hoodie on once the sun went down.
Bring an umbrella, pants, maybe a long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt and some type of lightweight jacket for the evenings. It does get cold at night.

No snowboots...I didn't think so Maybe no rain boots either. Too much to pack. I do have Hunter ankle boots though. Maybe bring those? We'll be in DL for 4 days, 3 days in San Diego. Here's what I'm planning on bringing. Hunter booties and cute low profile running shoes. JCrew Pixie pants and a pair of bf jeans. White and black tees; plaid flannel shirt and a chambray one. A baseball cap, backpack to lug DD's stuff and water bottles in, and a big scarf/wrap.
I live in San Diego and have Disneyland annual passes for the family. It will be pleasant during the day and cool at night and in the morning. In mid December you'll need nothing more than a hooded sweatshirt, or equivalent. A small umbrella would be a maybe, but you can pick one up anywhere if it ends up raining. Don't bother with rain boots unless you see heavy rain in the forecast for that week. But even then, in Southern California we wear flip flops even in the rain. ;-)

Disneyland is inland so temps tend to be a bit warmer during the day. If you will be on the coast in San Diego it will be a bit cooler during the day (example- its 78 at my house right now (inland) and it is 72 on the coast).
You will be fine with those clothes. Although you might want to check the weather forecast right before you leave because if it will be in the 80s you might want to bring some shorts.
Disneyland also sells ponchos that work great in the rain. They are pretty cheap and once the rain starts almost every single merch location will have them for sale.
We just got back from Disneyland and it was in the 80s both days. I was definitely not super fashionable, but I wore yoga pants and work out-esque tanks with running shoes. I think I looked cute enough and was comfortable enough to make it through about 24 hours total around the parks.
(Bring a sweater for early morning and after the sun goes down.)
