Hi Everyone,
I lurked on the Entertaining Ideas board on the Nest so I am hoping this is the area to post to now. I am helping my aunt plan my cousin's high school graduation and I have been looking online for different decoration ideas for graduations and have found a few things on pinterest but not much more. If anyone has any great ideas or websites for grad party ideas, I would appreciate it.
Hopefully we can get this board going with more posts now. Is there a private board for Entertaining ideas as well?
For highschool I mostly see people using the school colors in various forms- table clothes, flowers, balloons, etc. A lot of people will set up a table with pictures and awards maybe display the diploma. Another thought might be a clothesline of school pictures of the graduate from k-12. A penant banner in the school colors.

In my family/friend circle there is always a collage of the graduate as a kid. They are also usually outside, so nothing to fancy for us. Tablecloths and balloons in the colors of the school, trail mix with M&Ms the school colors mixed in. If the colors are something easy like red or green you can also incorporate more fruit/ other food of that color.
The last hour of the Today Show had a few ideas. For food they made wraps and wrapped a scallion around them so it looked like a diploma. They also put little flags in the cupcakes that said things like "going places." You might be able to take some quotes from the Dr. Seuss book for this. The one I really liked- the had a tall vase wrapped in white cardstock, then warpped a black band around it and used a gold seal to attach. It was awfully cute and simple. I could put in flowers or use a smaller vase and put some tall food in it- twizzlers or even take some pretzel rods dipped in the school colors?
