Haha. Sorry. Bread and butter pickle chips, mini gherkins, and dill spears. Maybe some olives. At least that's what it would be at my family Thanksgiving. And it would sometimes go untouched if my brother wasn't there.

I am of no help but this reminds me that DH and I took a cookbook from his grandma that was from the 60s or 70s and there is A LOT of aspic recipes. I told him I wanted to try one out. Maybe when I do I can serve a relish tray on the side. LOL
I totally did not know a relish tray was a thing. Then again my family Thanksgiving is usually like "someone bring the red solo cups!" If we are getting fancy maybe someone will spring for the divided paper plates.

My grandma once served "shrimp aspic" for Christmas. She used lemon jello! Of course, it was uneaten. I lived with her and she served it to me a couple times a day until it was gone. I took a large scoop out of the bowl every time she left the house and threw it away. It was awful.
Uh WHOA with the attitude. PICKLES, OLIVES, PEPPERS.. What in the world would be wrong with that?!
HAHAHAHA! I don't know! I have never heard of this called a relish tray, but it all looks delicious! Maybe this is regional IDK. I JUST WANTED SOMETHING EASY LIKE CREAM OF CRAP! I don't want to go to the store again! Is the GE bar thing appropriate for this?

We always have a relish tray! Pickled Okra for LIFE!
It has pickles, pickled okra, variety of olives (some stuffed), celery. One of my favorite memories was sticking black olives on my fingers and eating them off. I convinced my niece to do it two years ago and have the cutest picture of her ever.

FUCK YES. That's where I'd get 99% of what you need. Just stock up a few of the bigger plastic containers with a mix of things from the bar. I am so hungry.
I would have the same reaction as OP. This is not done in my family or any of my extended family parties. And my opinion might be swayed by the fact that I don't like olives - I think they look and taste disgusting, and they seem to be the mainstay of a relish tray. So yeah. No thanks on the relish tray.

No relish. That's all I know. Unless they're serving hot dogs for Tday? I'd go with an assortment of olives and what everyone else said, but mostly olives. Maybe some tapenade and hummus.
