Turkey Day is approaching!

What are everyone's plans?

DD and I are taking the train to meet up with DH tomorrow and go to his family's for Thanksgiving. DD is very excited to take a real train trip, and is a bit disappointed that we have to drive home with Daddy instead of taking the train home.

We're coming home Saturday instead of Sunday. I'm so excited, and relieved

We're hosting thanksgiving but it will only be friends which is awesome. 6 kids 6 adults. There will be alcohol.

We are doing Thanksgiving with ILs about 40 min from here since I'm staying home for Xmas. We'll do day after leftovers with my family (which I think I love more than actual Thanksgiving since we make sandwiches with the leftover turkey on my grandparent's homemade bread which is sooooooo good). That and there's always extra pecan pie leftover for me!!!!

Today is my Friday, wooohooooo! We're headed to my in-laws in NY tomorrow morning; here's hoping the traffic won't be too miserable. We're coming back Saturday because as much as I love my in-laws, more than 3 days around family is too draining.

melmel48 is coming down to visit tomorrow until Friday. So we will be hosting plus another friend who happened to move down here around the same time as us is coming over. We are also running an 8k Thursday morning.

scm1011, I feel ya. I am so excited I only have to spend one night at MIL's. I'm trying to be more positive about DH's family. That is going to be my New Years resolution...

I actually adore my in-laws, its just that they NEVER STOP TALKING and my introverted self can't take more than 3 straight days of that.

Good luck with your MIL. She sounds nuts tough and you seem to handle it well!

Mine is VERY LOUD!

I will at least have my favorite of DH's cousins there, and her adorable 6 month old. 

Did I mention this is the last year we have to do this? DH has already told MIL we are not coming to her house next year.

I am driving 2 hours to my mom's house. My ex-stepfather is coming. He and my mother divorced 3 years
ago. I saw him for the 1st time in 3 years last Fri. Should
be interesting.

Yikes. Good luck with that lizlemon19 . And safe travels to everyone who's going somewhere!

We're staying home, and my mom is coming here. She was trying to invite herself to my brother's, but since my SIL is 37+ weeks pregnant, I took the bullet invited her here.  I bought an extra bottle of wine for after she leaves, and I booked a massage for Friday morning, so that should get me through.
