Anyone else watching? DH worked for the Parade Studio as a carpenter & automater for 5 years until he had to stop this September after a tumor in his hip made him unable to walk.
He did most of the lighting, sound & automation for the new floats this year, including the Build a Bear & Snoopy's house on the Peanuts float.
The parade & costume crews wore pins in his honor during set up last night & this morning. The Hallmark float has a stocking on the off tv side with his name on it & his work hammer in it that will ride down the route this morning.

Awww that is so nice of the crews.
We are watching. I liked the Gloria Estefan songs at the beginning. Last night right before bed I had her songs in my head, so hearing them this morning was great.
I woke up early so I could watch it. I've watched it every year with my family. Its tradition - hot cocoa, a big blanket on the couch and the parade on the tv.
What a beautiful tribute to your H. I'll look out for it!
I am so sorry for your loss. His work has been a gift to those of us that cherish the parade as the best part of thanksgiving day. May his memory be a blessing.
What an awesome job! I love parades and he's made so many people so happy. Thanks for letting us know - I'll be sure to look out for his tribute. You're in my thoughts/prayers today. ((Hugs))
