I really hope that was mud. Just picturing that poor baby trying to eat and choking on smoke and getting her cigarette ashes on him is making me want to cry. Not to mention the danger of BURNING the baby! People suck.
It wasn't deleted... still works fine for me! But in case it does get deleted, the OP is asking if anyone knows of smokeproof and flame-retardant nursing covers. Because yeah, she wants to smoke while breastfeeding, but it's totally OK because she's actually being a good mom by making sure to shield her baby from the smoke and not singe it with her ashes. Oh, and smoking while breastfeeding builds a baby's "immunity" to smoking, don'tcha know. (What she means by "immunity to smoking," I don't know.
OH. And I just read far enough down to see that she used the word "blewn." As in, her post is being "blewn [sic] out of portion [sic]." If I weren't so sad and angry about the subject matter, this would be hilariously awesome.
Plus she said she usually smokes during middle of the night feedings, which to me means there is a bigger potential for her to fall asleep while feeding. So holding a baby with a lit cigarette and then nodding off, totally safe. Probably builds their "immunity" to FIRE if they get a few cigarette burns early on.
Iam going to just keep telling myself that was MUD and the person defending her was the same poster with another SN because I cannot fathom the idea that someone would truly act like this.
I am sure lots of moms judging the smoker do things equally dangerous. Whole grapes, hot dogs, obesity... What is worse in terms of risk? Who should we judge?

We should judge the woman asking for an airtight cover to wear over her baby's face.

I'll judge. I cut my kid's grapes and hot dogs and he isn't obese.
And smoking while nursing the baby is worse in terms of risk.
Eh, I think smoking around a child is pretty damn awful, but I suspect giving a toddler uncut grapes may actually be worse in terms of risk since the latter carries some risk of immediate death, while the former (short of setting the baby on fire) probably doesn't.
That said, I think smoking while nursing and giving a toddler uncut grapes or hotdogs are both judge-worthy. Which is just to say that if I saw someone doing it, I would think to myself "they really shouldn't be doing that." It doesn't mean I am going to call CPS or advocate termination of parental rights.
I am sure I have done plenty of things as a parent that have caused people to judge me. It's okay.
